Lovely stay here. Rooms were spotless and spacious. Lyn and Paul were exceptional hosts and had great local knowledge and advice for days out. Cockington is well worth a visit and within a walkable distance. I would highly recommend this little gem of a B&B for anyone looking to stay in Torquay.

Beautiful guesthouse Lyn and Paul made us feel very welcome. The room was spotlessly clean and we had everything we needed, the home made flap Jack's were delicious 😋. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice and cooked to perfection.

Just a lovely place to stay. It’s a short walk into the town and parking away from the road which for me is just perfect. We were in the Palms suite. A large bedroom and then a lovely sitting area with off to one end a fridge and hot drinks making facilities, also some home made treats to welcome you to the house. The bathroom was large and the whole house was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable. We like to travel and we have been to many places over the last couple of years, this was probably the best place we have been to and we would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone. The hosts are extremely nice people who are friendly and helpful with a breakfast that had even me full for the day. Thank you to you both for a wonderful couple of days and we definitely will try to get back down again soon.

A wonderful hotel. Exceptionally clean with comfy beds allowing for a great nights sleep. Location was perfect, just a short walk away from the seafront with all the restaurants and activities. Delicious breakfast with good choices. Fabulous hosts. Lynne and Paul were amazing, offering suggestions on where to go and visit and to eat. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. We absolutely love this place and keep coming back year after year! Lynn and Paul are fantastic hosts and the place is absolutely spotless with the best brekkie ever and beds so comfy we never have any problem drifting off after a full on day of exploring. We love the fact that we can just leave the car parked and go everywhere by walking, ferry , bus or train and not too far to walk into town either. It's so quiet at night that you don't hear a thing. Your in for a treat if you stay here and we wouldn't ever book anywhere else now in Torquay as we've found our perfect spot! Thank you Lynn and Paul for another perfect break x

Have stayed at Carlton Court numerous times over the years & the experience has aways been first class. Returned yesterday after introducing another couple to the Carlton for the weekend & they said what a gem of a place. A credit to the owners Lynn & Paul.

Carlton Court is beautifully furnished. Breakfast is delicious, served fresh and hot with great tea or coffee. Cereals and fresh fruit salad also. Our room was very comfortable, extremely clean, a small fridge, lots of extra little touches for a very enjoyable stay. Our room was named Gerbera, was on the ground floor, very quiet, private aspect with a view of the garden.

Carlton Court is an adults only bed and breakfast situated a 10 minute walk away from the main seafront along a quiet tree lined road meaning it is in a peaceful location. From the moment we arrived, we were met by the lovely Lynn who was happy to provide any information on the local area we may have needed. We stayed in the Mimosa room which part overlooked the main street, but as this is also a residential area, there was no real traffic at all and it was very quiet at night. Our room was large, airy and spotlessly clean, as was the whole establishment. The bathroom had a double shower, lovely soft towels and bathrobes, complimentary toiletries and plenty of place to store your own personal items. The bed was large with good quality bedding and crisp white linen. We had a mini fridge which housed fresh milk, still filtered water and the first bottle of sparkling water was free of charge. Plenty of tea bags and coffee provided and everything replenished daily. Good hairdryer and plenty of storage space provided in the bedroom. There was also a digital safe in the wardrobe. Our room was also serviced daily with the option of clean towels if you needed them. The dining room where breakfast is served is spotlessly clean, light and airy and tables are not close together giving you enough space to be sociable without being on top of others which is nice. Good quality tableware and cutlery is used too. There was fresh fruit prepared with yoghurt, 4 cereal choices, honey and homemade jams and marmalades which were delicious along with fruit juices provided. A choice of full English and vegetarian option breakfasts, omelette or avocado and eggs on toast were on the menu with a choice of how you would like your egg and toast also offered. Fresh local produce are used for breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly. The kitchen was spotlessly clean from what we saw from the hallway as are all areas of this bed and breakfast. Part of the dining room overlooks the private garden which was lovely in the morning. There is a reasonably priced honesty bar available and the dining room can be made available should you wish to bring a takeaway back with you. For obvious reasons however takeaway food is not allowed in the bedrooms as Lynn and Paul work hard to keep the rooms up to a high standard. A choice of three cold sharing platters can also be made should you wish to stay in or available for your arrival and at a very reasonable cost. There is plenty of information available by way of leaflets if you need ideas on how to spend your days. Would we return to Carlton Court....absolutely we will!
