The guest house was beautifully presented , very clean . Vince and Erwan were perfect hosts and made us , and our dogs, very welcome . Our room was well equipped , a comfortable super king size bed and immaculate, but with welcome treats for the dogs and us Breakfast was plentiful , quality ingredients and well cooked . All in all deserves a five star review .

Well, what can we say about Villa Marina? The experience just gets better every time we go. Erwan’s breakfast is still legendary and Vincent’s home made cakes and preserves are top class. This is far better than any hotel stay we’ve had in this country. The service is absolutely first class, amazing and personal. As I think we’ve mentioned in previous reviews, when we stay at Villa Marina it’s more like being part of the family than a guest. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the conversation is always flowing. Thank you both again for all you do to make us welcome and looking forward to seeing you again in May.

I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at Villa Marina. My room, which was spacious, immaculate and very comfortable, looked out over the garden which I imagine would be an ideal sun trap when the weather gets warmer! Vince and Erwan were fantastic hosts and made me feel very welcome, I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast which was cooked to perfection with all the trimmings, also the slices of homemade cake in my room when I arrived and the homemade marmalade that accompanied my breakfast. Villa Marina is ideally located, with off street parking and just a short walk to the sea front. I look forward to returning, hopefully in the near future.

We were very impressed by everything that the host offered us. Everything was impeccably clean, top quality in all things. You have absolutely everything needed for daily use.We also liked the interior of the house, the beautiful colors and the brightness of the house . The breakfast was delicious, reach,made with fresh, locally products. But above all the hospitality and kindness of Erwan an and Vince impressed us and made us incredibly happy. It shows that you put your soul into what you do. We highly recommend it ! A huge thanks guys ! We really appreciate you! Looking forward to seeing you soon! XXX Simona & Jan

This is a beautiful place. It was very welcoming and comfortable, with helpful local food recommendations. Try the amazing salmon and scrambled egg breakfast! We were here for business but would come back for holidays. I would strongly recommend it!

We can highly recommend this hotel, two lovely very attentive hosts. It was our first adventure with our dog Bella and felt she was well catered for which put us at ease. As a Coeliac it was a lovely treat to be welcomed with cake and to find at breakfast the hash browns and sausages were gluten free again a real treat. Breakfast overall was outstanding really enjoyed it, we hope to return again very soon.

Vince and Erwan were wonderful hosts - extremely friendly, accommodating (they helped us with a late check out due to our circumstances), and they were lovely to talk to. We stayed in Mallock room, which was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very well appointed. There were lots of lovely little touches in the room that made our stay even more enjoyable - pillow mist, seagull silencing ear plugs (luckily didn’t need to use them, but a nice touch), selection of drinks and snacks in the room for a small additional fee, fresh milk and water in the mini fridge, and Vince’s freshly baked lemon cake was delicious! We used their recommendations on their website to choose somewhere for our evening meal - highly recommend The Waddling Duck at The Hamiltons, it was a delicious meal. Full English Breakfast cooked to perfection by Erwan was delicious and plentiful, just about had room for the very tasty French pastries! We booked our stay due to attending a funeral in the area, however we will definitely consider Villa Marina in future for a stay under better circumstances - we’d love to meet Merlin the golden retriever! Thank you both so much for making us feel so welcome and so comfortable

After a horrendous journey down to Torquay (torrential rain and the M5 closed due to flooding with all traffic diverted through Taunton at school peak time!) we could not have wished for a warmer welcome. Vince and Erwan are brilliant hosts. The room was warm and cosy and the breakfasts (select what you want the previous evening) superb. Being just over a mile from the seafront the Torre area is quiet and relaxing. Ideal for an older couple like us, we have no hesitation in giving 5 stars.

The welcome was exceptional, room very comfortable clean and modern and had a very good nights sleep and the breakfast was delicious and service was great. Definitely return if I venture back down to Torquay. A very pleasant nights stay. 5 stars
