The atmosphere was cosy, homey and nicely decorated. Plenty of drawers and a closet and everything was absolutely immaculate. The bathroom extractor was a bit noisy, but a light sensor obviated the need to turn the light on during the night. The bed was a bit soft but that is just down to personal preference. Excellent breakfast, not greasy at all ( just how we like it), with attention to detail and two very lovely and welcoming hosts. Thank you Shona and Billy.

Great host Billy and shona as always. Second time there and I will keep staying there to.great breakfast and they always look after you what more could you want great place and my favourite hotel mark . I am very fond of Devon and surrounding area and have great memories with my parents and kids down there .

We have just spent 3 very enjoyable nights at Abingdon House. It is ideally placed for exploring the area and off street parking is a bonus. We were also visiting Torbay hospital which is an easy 5 minute drive away. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was amazing and the beds are very comfortable. The owners go out of their way to make you welcome and we will definitely stay there again.

Happy we returned for a perfect, relaxing break and found the high standards still a perfect 5 stars. Comfy and spotless clean with on site parking, well located on level walking distance to town. Fabulous breakfast catering for all. Nothing too much trouble for our welcoming and friendly hosts, Billy and Shona. Thank you and see you next time.

The hosts Billy and Shona were very warm and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious especially the curried beans! The rooms are well appointed and the beds very comfortable. Walking distance to the waterfront which is a lovely walk. We look forward to visiting again in the near future. Thank you so very much Billy and Shona! 🙏🏻👏🏻

We had a little 2 night get away - so pleased we chose this venue out of the many available at this time of year. Exceptional service which was attentive without being intrusive . Billy and Shona are the perfect hosts . Absolutely phenomenal breakfast cooked to absolute perfection! The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully and tastefully decorated. Great location with a pleasant walk to the harbour through the Abbey grounds.

Highly rated. Abingdon House hosts have their finger on the button with absolute attention to every detail. Welcoming hosts, Billy & Shona delivered 10-star treatment. This impeccably clean, warm and comfortable guest house boasts a great location in Torquay. The breakfasts were absolutely fabulous. I can Definitely recommend this gorgeous gem!

Excellent and relaxing couple of days with old friends. Genial hosts Shona and Billy took care of the basic needs with enthusiasm despite this being the tail end of a busy season. Torquay is a delight at the best of times, but they went out of their way to show us the town. Hospitality was top-notch. They run a spotless and professional operation. Can DEFINITELY recommend.

What a wonderful stay. The accommodation is immaculately presented and so clean. Hosts were incredible and do everything themselves, which clearly shows how proud they are of their business. Rooms are really comfortable and breakfasts were fantastic. Within walking distance to everything and not too costly should you need a taxi. Highly recommended. Isabel and Karen
