Kingston House

I honestly don't know where to start but here we go, I booked kingston house after searching the Internet for a highly recommended b&b and I'm so glad I did. We have never been to Torquay before but we are glad we booked to stay at the kingston to explore it. Alli and Michael are wonderful hosts we were greeted on arrival, Michael asked if we needed help with anything and we got a lovely cream tea for booking direct. The room was spotless, a silent mini bar stocked with lots of varietys at reasonable prices. Lovely sized wardrobe and comfy big bed. Ensuite was great and stocked with everything you need, the hand wash is to die for I loved it that much I will be buying some for home. Michael is an amazing cook and breakfast every morning was spot on my plan was to try different things for the weekend but I loved the full English that much I had the same every morning. There is much to do around the area which is in walking distance definitely go to cockington it's a lovely walk there and back and a beautiful village and gardens. We went to a few restaurants that alli and Michael recommend and so glad we did they were all fantastic. Indi yang was the best in our eyes! Followed by the hole in the wall and amici. Overall a wonderful three day break and the hosts were that nice and welcoming we have booked to come back in a few months. Thank you for everything ❤️ see you soon.

The Kingston is the best 5* experience. We have stayed there twice and would highly recommend this as the best place to stay in Torquay. It’s a 15 -20mins walk to the seafront / Theatre but it’s a nice easy stroll. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated. Everything is absolutely spotless and the rooms are stunning. The beds are very comfortable! The hosts Alli & Michael are brilliant and will do everything to make your stay the very best experience. There is free parking at the hotel, The breakfast are cooked to order and the quality of produce used is top class. There isn’t a better place to stay…… if you go anywhere else you’re mad! Just hope we can get booked in next year!

We returned a second time for the bank holiday weekend and were greeted with warm smiles and friendly chats. Breakfast every day was cooked to perfection there is so much choice and you can see how much Michael enjoys cooking by the taste and appearance of the food. We stayed in the Seagrass room this time the bed was huge and sooooo comfortable the room has everything you need plus more. We had a wonderful weekend with the best hosts and again booked to come back for a third time. Would give more stars if I could. Looking forward to next time. See you both soon. Laura and ste

Michael and Allison are two of the warmest people you could wish to meet,nothing is too much trouble for them. We already feel like members of the family and are looking to book for a few days next year. Thank you both for a wonderful few days stay, hope to see you soon.

Fantastic Bed & Breakfast we loved everything from the room to the breakfast plus the hosts Alison & Michael are so welcoming, we will definitely stay here again when we are in Torquay. Car parking was available, never use the car as it was a short walk into the town centre.

Another great stay at the wonderful Kingston House with Allison and Michael. As always the perfect hosts, always there to help you if required. The food was fantastic with the full "Devonshire Breakfast" the perfect start to any day!!!!!!!!!

We had a great stay at Kingston House, lovely room with everything you could want. Bed was very comfy with quality bed linen and the room was spotlessly clean. The guest house has been very tastefully decorated and gives a nice calm feeling as soon as you step through the front door. A/C and all the usual facilities was in the room but a lovely touch was fresh milk in the fridge as well as the beer, wine G&T, crisps chocolate and water. The information guide in the rooms has been well thought out with lots of personal recommendations for restaurants in the area. Breakfast is a pre order system which means your breakfast is freshly prepared with good quality ingredients that have not been hanging around or pre cooked and reheated . I can recommend the eggs Benedict and the Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit and muesli which were my favourites. Nice to get fresh coffee as well. It was very obvious that a lot of thought had been put into the guest house to make your stay perfect and ours was perfect. The hosts Alli and Michael were very welcoming and friendly and did their best to make you feel at home. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Kingston House, this was a return visit for us and once again a very enjoyable stay. On arrival after a long journey we were welcomed with a delicious Devon tea in the lovely lounge which we enjoyed immensely. Both our hosts were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Room was spotless and the bathroom had great shower. Would highly recommend KH to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely comfortable room, with lots of thoughtful extras. The bed and pillows gave us lovely nights sleep and the breakfasts which were freshly cooked to our liking set us up for the day! Our hosts made us very welcome and we definitely recommend this stay
