Hotel Torremar - Mares

Great price per night. We usually stay in Nerja and this was less than half the price. Right in the centre of town and close to the beach. All rooms have balconies. Very clean and comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked great. Reception ladies very nice and helpful. Big choice at breakfast. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. We were lucky to get free on street parking close by.

We had stayed at this central hotel a couple of years ago and enjoyed ourselves so much we went back. It isn't a fancy place but it is very comfortable indeed and has everything you could want in central location. They do have on site parking but there's lots of free parking down at the beach so we left our car there. It was only a two minute walk to get back to the hotel. Check in was fast and friendly and with good English and our bad Spanish! The room itself is very basic but had everything we needed and we slept particularly well. Fairly typically for a Spanish hotel they don't have kettles but you can request one from Reception and they will give you a tray with cups and so on. Breakfast is a buffet style of hot and cold food and is until 11 am which is great. We went for a walk along the beach 1st to work up an appetite and enjoyed it even more as a result.

A comfortable, clean hotel ideally situated in the centre of the holiday area of Torre del Mar. Lots of restaurants and bars literally on the doorstep. This is a Spanish resort so don’t expect the waiters to speak perfect English or expect an English roast or a full Monty breakfast offered. During the holiday season and at weekends expect noise, especially in the street facing rooms.

It was just a two night stay for us at this well located town centre hotel and we had a really good time. Other than a couple of minor niggles it was pretty much perfect and we would definitely use it again if we were to stay in town. Parking is easy and free. We just used Satnav to get level with it on the Beach Road and there’s a big free carpark there. The hotel is just over one minute from the beach so very easy indeed. The room itself was very comfortable with good air-conditioning, a wonderful balcony which we spent loads of time on and reasonably comfortable beds. There is a safe available for hire. In terms of noise, there was a little bit but no more than any other hotel and we slept really well both nights. The niggles were that the Internet was quite weak in our room and certainly didn’t work on the balcony. The toiletries weren’t great either and it could do with a toilet brush but they are minor things in the overall scheme of it. The sun terrace was of no use to us as it did have sunbeds but absolutely no shade so it was too hot up there. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The coffee was great but the orange juice not that good.

Oudbollig , te renoveren hotel. In de gangen riool geur. Kamers aan de voorkant zijn niet te doen van het lawaai;Dit werd opgelost door de vriendelijk dame aan de balie die een kamer aan de zijkant gaf. Ontbijt ok . Top ligging. Harde matrassen, Weinig licht in de kamer.Goed hotel voor een paar dagen.
