Sol Torremolinos - Don Pablo

ホテル内にプールが5つもあります。 バーや、館内の催し物も豊富で、まさにリゾートホテルです。 プールも充実していますが、目の前のビーチにも泳げに行けます。客室もとても綺麗です。 駅から徒歩で行くのは難しいです。最短距離を選ぶと階段がとても多いです。タクシーの利用をお勧めします。 ホテルからマラガ空港まではタクシーで約15分、20€でした。

Been going there for many years normally twice a year and always love this hotel the staff and the food looking forward to returning after the refurbishment which starts very soon, should be going back next year the only disappointment is our check out bill which we are trying to sort out this isn't the first time.

Loved it here. First off, it’s a 1970s built hotel, there have been lots of improvements but there are still some things straight from the 70s, and that’s ok by me. It doesn’t make it tired, just adds character. The food was lovely, our room on the 4th floor had an amazing view and was a good size (plenty of hanging/storage space. No kettle, no problem, we took our own and tea, coffee etc, there is a great little fridge. BBC1 and ITV 1 for news etc. Three things to note: there are average queues at the bars, the staff work very hard but there aren’t many of them so queues form. It is the same at dinner, they are so busy clearing and laying tables it’s hard to get someone’s attention. It didn’t bother us, but if you don’t like this, not the place for you. The lifts are busy, as we expected, we managed and had a good laugh with people waiting for them. There is nothing the hotel could do about it, nobody’s fault. The hot food is not hot but warm, it didn’t spoil our experience, we loved the food. However, this is one thing mentioned a lot and I think is easy solvable, either new Bain Marie’s or turn them up. We had room 1412 and it was perfect. All staff were friendly, worked really hard and kept everything running cleanly and well. Thankyou to you all. Loved the evening entertainment, good quality and enjoyable. Tip: if you go to the beach as we did, the sun beds opposite the hotel were lovely and the old boy and young man who look after them were so friendly and polite €6 each per day, with little table and ashtray if required. You can use the Los Coralas bar on the beaches toilets. As for the actual bar, staff really awful and try to rip people off, see its own trip reviews and we experienced it, avoid if you can. Would return to this hotel.

Had a lovely time at Don Pablo, second visit to the site previously stayed at Don Marco. Large spacious room on 9th floor (1906) good side view of the sea and pool. All-inclusive food, I find its lovely at this hotel. Great selection of food for everyone. Can also have all-inclusive food at the pool bar which I thought was a great alternative for table service rather than buffet. Great location right on the beach and close to the many restaurants. Pool area had no problem getting a sun bed this time of year. Pool was cold to get in, not heated. But plenty of pools and jacuzzis to choose from. Friendly staff always happy to help and had a great service from anyone we spoke to. I had a great birthday surprised organised by my boyfriend with the hotel of balloons and champagne. Nice touch that the hotel offered this! Entertainment was good! We especially enjoyed the Il Divo night! Variety and plenty of seating this time of year to watch the shows. Negatives : No kettle in room ( not sure why?? Thought this was common in hotels to have a kettle) No kettle meant no tea bags Floor 9 I think the WiFi was a bit weak. TV is fully Spanish channels. Managed to cast phone for Netflix once but then had trouble doing it again. Realise in the end that I had to go into the foyer to try and re-connect back to the cast and this seemed to work.

Dissapointed after reading good reviews . Generally Hotel tired in need of room maintenance . 9th floor xtra with full board . Broken tiling and drainage on balcony . Shower area finish not good standard Room service sporadic with no tea coffee milk restocked daily . Tissues in bathroom never restocked . Bed made daily and towels loo roll restocked Dining area carnage most meal times .canteen in appearance with no linen cloths napkins as in photos . Only tea and coffee at breakfast . Water 2€ for small bottle . Full board we would have expected free water . Wine 20€ . Food albeit good range the hot was Luke warm . No milk jugs for bringing milk to table for tea coffee Bar drinks expensive so didn’t stay in bar long . We just felt the season was coming to an end and there was less attention to detail . Grounds,pool and entertainment good . Don’t think we would rush back

The hotel itself looks great and the rooms are good. Quite a few pools which is a bonus (and indoor pool for when it’s too hot for children). Great location on the beach and quite a few local shops nearby. Weirdly only 1 bar for all the pools with a big queue and it’s on the top level with the pool on the 2 levels below which we found odd and annoying carrying drinks down lots of stairs. The food isn’t great, very little selection and don’t really change each night which pretty much no offering for vegetarians (even the 4 pizzas they cook at a time had meat in them all!), everything has seafood in it too even couscous etc. No evening entertainment before 21:45 too.

The hotel Sol Don Pablo is one of three hotels on a complex along with the Don Pedro and Don Marco they are located opposite the beach front. You have the choice of using the amenities of the three hotels during your stay. There are two restaurants, a number of swimming pools that host different activities during the day and three bar areas hosting nightly entertainment. We have been coming to the resort of Torremolinos for 30+ years and have always stayed in all of the Sol Melia hotels within the area. We have stayed at all three Don hotels over the decades and usually come twice a year in June and September. It is our happy holiday place. This year however, a few little things have started to annoy us and need to be addressed by the management team, particularly as the Pablo is a four star hotel. Dining Room - During our June stay there was salt and pepper pots out on the tables and place settings were set with two lots of knives and forks for starters and main courses. During our September stay, the salt and peppers were removed and replaced with paper sachets that were placed on or around the salad buffet area (very McDonald’s like and not what you’d expect in a four star hotel) and the place settings started to be set for one course. This became a problem for two reasons, inevitably you would get your food, get back to the table and realise you had no seasonings so you would have to leave your meal and go back and get them. Once you finished your starter you then had no second set of cutlery for your main meal. You had to then remember to keep hold of your cutlery because they don’t put out extra knives and forks, trying to get a waiters attention is impossible because they are so busy sorting drink orders. Again this is a four star hotel. We did notice that the Don Pedro restaurant continued to set their tables correctly so why not the Pablo restaurant? During the June stay the Pablo restaurant had no English sausage available, they did have lots of spicy sausage available, during our September stay they did have English sausage available everyday. There is no consistency. During the evening meal service there is an issue with how the cooked food is then kept hot as a lot of the food is only lukewarm, this needs to be addressed, having stayed in other hotels within the group in the resort it’s never been a problem for them to keep food hot. Entertainment - The Bar Ingles entertainment is varied and caters to its large English audience, however a number of the shows need changing because they have been running for a number of years and are becoming repetitive for returning guests. Bar Jerez has nightly live music with a good mix of Latino and English music. In June the artist’s had a longer set followed by taped music after they had finished their act, in September the set was shorter and after they finished their was no music played as you finished your evening drink - why? People are enjoying their holiday so why

As a whole this was a really lovely holiday we only stayed for four days but I would recommend this for friends families and couples as the location is in a great place. It’s easy to get buses. If you need a taxi the receptionist will call you one straight away and they turn up within a minute, the beach is literally outside with numerous shops and restaurants to pick from My main downside would be the lack of information with regards to entertainment we were told it was going to be outside and out of the four nights we stayed there. It was only outside once which meant we were able to actually see the entertainment but unfortunately due to the lack of Entertainment it was giving we decided to go back to our hotel room. This was a Michael Jackson tribute and the fact it was so poorly done we just couldn’t watch it the rest of the time we were there. The entertainment was in a tiny area you would be lucky to fit up to 100 people, into this space which meant it was very difficult to watch There was meant to be an inside pool which we did finally find, but it wasn’t filled up so wasn’t able to use it The room itself was pleasant getting into the room. You had to really push the door. The balconies were quite mouldy on the outside and a lot of the plug sockets around the hotel when filled in very well but that’s just a minor defect. We found the food was really good and change throughout. I think if we were there longer I don’t think I would want to have it all the time because we were half bored. We did have to pay for drinks which can be costly and I do wish that water would’ve been free because we didn’t mind paying for a drink , but would’ve been nice like a lot of places The staff seemed very friendly throughout and would go here again if I was in that area

Still a great hotel but really does need a refurb. Just seems worn and old fashioned in places. Bedroom corridors have stained carpets and strange marks along ceilings - leaks(?). Bedrooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Unusual no tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom shows age, well worn. Restaurant is huge and quality of food was acceptable - always a range of meats and vegs but tended to be on the low side of warm. Sharpen your elbows as the crowds are unforgiving and take no prisoners. Deadly for anyone with a sweet tooth - such a range of desserts. The bar is not cheap and the queues on show nights are long. Usual loads of ice in the glass before the alcohol and local brands unless you ask. Hotel has a good outside area and is well located. Not sure if it retain star marking now but am sure it will improve. Certainly has retained its price.
