We stayed for 3 nights over new years along our 10-day trip through Chile. Our room (#404) was small, yet adequate. It had convenient shelving near the door, a comfortable king size bed, and decent water pressure in the shower. The partial swing out glass for the shower did allow a bit of water to get onto the bathroom floor, but it was okay if you’re mindful to avoid slipping. The room looked out to some grass and trees that obscure any view of the lake. The bar and restaurant were pretty good, but I wouldn’t expect any Michelin stars any time soon. We made a concerted effort to try ceviche everywhere we went along our trip and Hotel Lago Grey’s was decent, but was ranked towards the bottom of our list. The roasted lamb dinner with pata bravos was nice, but we’ve had more flavorful and tender lamb. My wife is allergic to dairy and we applaud the availability of vegan options, but the vegan sorbet and brownie was a blasphemous war crime (it was not good). Overall, the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is a great launching pad for not only exploring Grey Glacier, but the rest of the Torres del Paine area. We would definitely stay again if in the area!
