The scenery is superb, the facilities are better than i expected, the staff is super nice, and dinner is good. The only thing that i think needs to be improved is that the top bunk has no safety rails, and the bed on the top bunk is not stable enough and the shaking definitely affects those ones whom sleep on the bottom bunk.

Great place to stay, welcoming staff, clean showers, and comfortable beds ! Such a nice place to see the sunset on the mountains and sunrise. We used the kitchen of the campsite that is pretty big. It’s a great place if you want to go to the Glacier Grey, you can even leave some stuff in lockers to avoid carry them

Excellent stay by Lake Pehoe margin. I was camping using their tent and my sleeping bag. The campsite is well organized with hot water showers, kitchen, minimart and a restaurant. Access to the ferry boat Pehoe and several trails from this point like Lake Grey, Mirador Frances, Guarderia Italiano.

The tent set-up was nice, with a great view of the mountains and lake. The showers were not very clean and the shower room could be very easily upgraded with hooks on the walls to hang your things and a shower curtain separating the little dressing area outside the shower from the rest of the room for privacy while changing. The staff were really rigid about rules, and the front desk guy, Oscar, was really rude. He was constantly asking us to move even though there was nowhere else to go. He wanted us to stand outside in the freezing rain just so his foyer would be empty.

Nice structure and facilities but by far we were impressed by the staff. In particular Romina and Jamie were super helpful and professional. Our tour organisers had booked us less beds (1 for 3 people!) than what we required, luckily Romina did the impossible and managed to sort us out so all good in the end. Thanks!!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this place when we did the W trek. We took the dorms which were cute and clean! :) the staff was great, especially Valeria which was very nice and kind! And made us feel very welcome. Everything went smoothly and we recommend taking the dorms :)

Had an amazing stay! The front desk girl was incredibly kind and went above and beyond. I lost my phone, and she not only found it but also contacted my partner and arranged to drop it off in a nearby town. Truly exceptional service—highly recommend!

The biggest of the refugios. There is plenty of common space, and a great bar area to order food and drinks. There is hot water for camping meals and an area to cook indoors for campers. Showers were not the best but doable. We stayed in bunks one night, and a tent the second.

Jamie was an angel today. My friends and I were in a difficult situation and had to book last minute tickets for the boat and bus transfers — she went above and beyond to help us book these. She saved our trip and handled it with ease. She deserved a raise! Really amazed by her help and kind soul. She is the beating heart and soul of this Refugio!
