Lovely hotel for families with young children. Hotel was immaculately decorated and clean. Pool is huge but then it’s shared by everyone. Adults aswell as kids. Sun lounges are a massive issue when it comes to wanting to lay on one. We had to get up at the crack of dawn in order to guarantee sun lounges for myself, partner and daughter. I do think that the hotel needs to look at this issue. Most days we had to leave the complex and venture elsewhere due to the fact of there being no outside seats. The rooms were very clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. Air conditioning was a godsend! Safe in room costing €3 per day. Mini fridge which comes in handy for water, soft drinks and alcohol was an added bonus. Balcony was okay. The view we had was of a different hotel and pool. I wish i had upgraded to sea view now. Food at hotel was probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had when travelling abroad. We were half board. Breakfast was perfect, everything you could ask for and need. Highly recommend the freshly cooked omelets. Juices and coffees are included. Dinner was delicious too! With plenty of dish choices for all. Each night had different country dishes theme, so lots of choices available for everyone. Staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. That goes for everybody working at Iberostar. Wasn’t to impressed with what was outside hotel. It was okay but we stayed in alot better. We found that several restaurants along seafront wasn’t that friendly. Almost felt like tourists wasn’t welcome. However we did find one nice restaurant just off promenade and food was delicious. The beach wasn’t great. Man made beach and just few stones to walk over to get into the sea. Cost for sun lounges on beach were €6 each. There’s bus station just up road from outside front of hotel to your right. Ask receptionist at hotel for QR code to look at timetables before going to bus station. There’s also taxis at this bus station too. Taxi to Nerja was around €13 and took around 10mins. Bus was alot cheaper. There’s supermarket just across the road which comes in really handy if you’re not all inclusive. The splash park at hotel is suitable for children ages 10 and under I would say. My daughter is 12 and she was too grown up for this. Plenty of activities around pool all day for everyone who wishes to take part. Also bare in mind if you want extra pillows for your room they cost €7 each. The app is worth downloading on arrival. The Wi-Fi around hotel was amazing! Tv in room didn’t have a lot of choice of channels. But we wasn’t bothered by this because the weather was too good to miss and was out in it every day. Overall if this hotel was moved to better location, then this holiday could have been far better for us. But in saying that we did have a great time! Sun lounges thieves need to be dealt with though. Great hotel, if you want to stay the full 14days of your holiday, not a good resort with grey sandy beaches. Only negative about the hotel is there is no areas provided for non smokers, couldn’t sit and watch the entertainment in the area provided because of the smokers on nearly every table. ! Brilliant staff and great food choices. Entertainment team are fabulous.

We stayed 7 nights as a family with a young child. We had a lovely holiday and what made it special were the staff, the lovely pool and sea view room. The animation team are fantastic - they put on fantastic family entertainment and my 3 year old had the time of her life. The pool, communal areas and bedroom were spotless. The housekeeping staff work tirelessly to keep the hotel clean. We stayed all inclusive and booked a sea view double room. Unfortunately on the first night we discovered our room was above the evening entertainment and it was incredibly loud. It was impossible to sleep. I asked reception if there was a possibility of a room change and they moved us to the other side of the hotel with no fuss at all. We were very grateful they didn't make it awkward and understood why it was difficult with a young child. The food was ok. They do a good job of providing food for a large audience. It isn't amazing but it was fine for 7 days and we found something to eat every day that we enjoyed. The cocktails were terrible. Genuinely the worst I've ever had. Pre mixed and watery. The wine and beer were fine. They were missing soft drinks suitable for children at lunch and evening meal sadly. The beach is fine. Clean but quite stoney and hard underfoot. I would recommend sea shoes to enjoy it. Easy access to the beach was lovely though! I would visit again when it wasn't school holidays - it was busy when we went and it was just outside the holidays. I can imagine queues are much bigger when the hotel is fully booked! Overall a lovely 'easy' holiday as a family.

We stayed in early September - just after UK schools went back - despite this the hotel was very busy, mainly couples and young families, plus a few large groups. Hotel was so clean, no mean feat given how huge it is, and the pictures online don’t do it justice, it’s stunning, really nice to see a hotel that’s not just a carbon copy of most modern hotels. Would recommend upgrading to a sea view room, we booked through easyJet and it was under £100 to upgrade, and the room was sensational - bigger than the pictures, really comfy, balcony was large with a brilliant view (room 340). There were 3 more floors above us as well so it wasn’t even the best view the hotel had to offer. Food was immense, nice to have a different theme each night, only gripe would be allergy labels (or lack of). Note, if you are half board, drinks are included at breakfast but NOT at dinner, even a glass of water. We just brought a bottle of water with us for dinner as we preferred to go for a drink at the bar afterwards. There’s a lot of talk about having to get up early for sun loungers…it’s not that deep, we put towels down as we went down for breakfast, usually between 8.30 and 9, and there were loads spare in great positions, the only people who needed to search around and use the grass were folks who came down to the pool after 11, which, to be frank, is your own issue for dilly dallying. (Again, it wasn’t the summer holidays but the hotel was rammed when we went). Very polite staff and guests, it was mainly German and French guests, which was great, as someone from the UK, we are a bunch of cretins when holidaying abroad, so actually it was great not having to meet anyone from somewhere like Coventry. We used the spa which was top notch, cheaper than anywhere in the UK, and far better service. Gym was lovely, again much better than the photos suggest, nice new equipment and air conned. Pool was warm, nothing weird floating in there which is always good, and the beach was brilliant, really well tended, the sea was clear and not full of seaweed (a bit rough so be wary if you’re not a big swimmer).

This was a lovely hotel with plenty of lively goings on with a clean and well maintained site. The food is outstanding as the themed cuisines are extremely well put together. Our favourite was the sea food buffet with crabs, lobsters and plenty of prawns and muscles. We went half board and felt it suited our needs. The entertainment team try very hard and Fran and Denise were the best for getting the atmosphere charged. I liked the location but the beach was not a free part of the resort. Generally we go to a RIU branded hotel and Iberostar is very much on a level footing but we were not happy having to pay extra for the use of the room safe and a deposit for towels was required - this is not how RIU operate. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the relaxing holiday - it is very family orientated and if you want more quiet then I would choose an adults only hotel. The pool is the hub and all the action takes place there throughout the day. Our holiday was centred around visiting the Alhambra in Grenada and this was a great resort for the rest of the time. Well worth a stay.

We had a wonderful holiday (all inclusive) for my husband & I and our 2 children (7 and 2) The hotel is clean and spacious, we checked in smoothly and was very impressed. The pool is great, so warm so perfect for little ones. As others have mentioned , the pool rules are quite strict rules re inflatables but it wasn’t an issue for us. We didn’t use the kids club but it was busy everyday and all the children seemed to have great fun! Food at the buffet is fresh and everyday there is a different theme at dinner. We were so impressed with the food and the selection of food at the snack bar buffet, you won’t be hungry. Lots of reviews on the beach were negative but our children were happy. It has grey sand and stoney but otherwise really nice. Overall we would recommend this hotel for families as it’s perfect. It also has a little park which was nice and shady. The pool is very slippery so pool shoes for the kids is a must! Overall we would return!

We loved our stay! Stayed in July/Aug 2023 for 9 nights. Family of 3 with a 4 year-old kid. Food was so good. They don't have ala carte restaurant but food is so yummy anyway. Great views from our room balcony. We took sea view room. Animation team was so nice to our kid, and to everyone. We liked the evening shows and other daily activities. My daughter love the two ladies both called Belen. Alex was very friendly to us. I liked the lady for the fitness (forgot her name, she also played Elsa for the play one evening). Everyone in animation team was nice! Big enjoyable pool. But people reserve sunbeds. We had to do the same unfortunately since they really run out fast. Massage was so good. We had couples massage. Restaurant and bar staff were commendable, very friendly and accommodating. The gym looked like a repurposed sauna. Very slippery. The room was so small but somehow we got used to it. I wished they had more open space in the restaurant. Beach is not so nice, luckily the hotel grounds are nice to relax. Facilities are clean. Rooms cleaned daily and satisfactorily Thank you the whole staff!!!
