There are things that I really liked about my stay here but I have to be honest and say that, if given a choice to do it all over again, I would stay somewhere else. Starting with the good, the staff at the hotel was inexperienced but endearing. I was greeted with smiles and they made me feel at home. The location is perfect, just a stone's throw away from the Quadrado. The private beach is beautiful, pristine with great service. The provided shuttle back and forth was very handy. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. The property is impeccably clean at all times. Now the bad stuff, I stayed 6 nights but ended up in three different rooms. I left the first room 3 days in because a very strong mildew smell started to emanate from the AC unit. To their credit, they were quick to respond to the issue and moved me to an upgraded room within 30 mins. I ended up leaving the second room earlier than planned because a mix-up occurred and the promised late check-out became an issue. I had to spend my last 4 hours in yet another room. The shuffling around was incredibly frustrating. The food from the restaurant was highly disappointing and this includes the food served at the beach. The meat and seafood offered is not fresh. You can tell by the texture that it was frozen AFTER being cooked. Unacceptable and not edible. Everything is very much overpriced for the service and product offered. Finally, I was rather shocked when I arrived to be walked to the door of my room and left there with no explanation on how the property works (location of the pool, restaurant and the fact that I would need to bring my passport to the beach for identification). What made it worse is that no one spoke english so I had to fumble my way through things with a translator app. It made things difficult and took me a few days to adjust and figure things out. I didn't hate my time there but the hotel did not meet my expectations unfortunately. I wouldn't recommend it to others.
