San Anton Hotel

We were booked at this lovely hotel for 3 nights but regretfully only spent a few hours, as while travelling from Malta to Sicily that same morning my five year old daughter developed a high fever. Upon disembarking from the Boat at 9am we called to see the option of checking in early and the lady who spoke to us on the phone was immediately accommodating. Long story short by the time we arrived at the Hotel 2 hours later, we decided that it was best to cancel our trip and return back home that same day. We insisted on paying for the room just the same as obviously the Hotel had to refuse other business when accepting our booking. Not only did the owner refuse any payment what so ever , but we were given free use of the room for the few hours we had before returning to the ferry (at an expense to the owner since the room then had to be cleaned again) , told to help ourselves to water placed in the fridge in the room, and received a knock on the door around 30 minutes after arriving , only to find the lady who takes care of the hotel there with a complimentary lunch for all of us. May the kindness of the owner and his staff be repaid to them back a hundred times over. From the little bit we saw of this little Hotel in the heart of Tre Castagni, the decor is lovely, location is great, and the entire place is very well kept and spotless. Will definitely return
