A dirty, basement room full of insects and filth. The stench was unbearable. The next morning, I requested a new room, which was no problem. However, it turned out that the new room was also unclean, with the same bed linens left from the previous guests. An absolute disgrace.

Quiet close-enough garden location. We chose not to stay in the hustle bustle near Porta and that was a good decision. This hotel had lots of charm in the public areas. I will preface that we got the cheapest room - but the carpet needs replacing and there was no place to put luggage. Free nice sauna! The breakfast was phenomenal and we enjoyed exploring the park out the back gate. It’s an easy 1 mile walk to old town. I would stay here again. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

The room itself was OK , however in the bathroom there was just one small piece of soap and a box of Klennex. No other amenities, such as shower cap, bathroom slipper, comb, shoe horn.. the thing one expects usually from a 4 star Hotel at corresponding prices! The TV had with the exception of an insignificant French station only German channels . It showed CNN etc. but only with the text "no picture - low image" - as a sign of German arrogance?? This when all sorts of disturbing things happen all over the world - with German TV limiting its news during the day and early evening hours to very short Tagesshows mostly talking about Germany only. I think I would have had better in room amenities and TV in a holiday Inn rather than in this self proclaimed 4 star Hotel.

When you go to a 4* hotel, you expect a certain level of quality such as having a fridge in the room and air con (all requirements for an international 4* . We were in the best room possible (bar the suite) and had none of the above, nor a kettle. The lack of amenities is disappointing and misleading (although I do not know if the star classification for Germany says that there needs to be aircon/fridge/tea/coffee making facilities.) When we arrived we were disappointed to find that this hotel is located in an industrial area. You have to drive between 2 car garages to get there. It does overlook a nice park but I pity the people who had car park view and view of the job centre opposite (approx half the hotel.) It seems the rooms are very hit and miss. A huge proportion will be on the car park side/job centre) side and the more expensive rooms will overlook the park. But the ones in the souterrain (basement) overlooking the park look like they might be quite dark. Our room had a nice balcony and was nicely furnished but we paid a lot to have this. The spa area is nice but lots of it is outdoors (i.e. to get to the relax room and one of the saunas you have to go outside.) We did not try breakfast. I feel the management should manage expectations and downgrade it to a 3* (at least for non-German travellers).

The Hotel is nicely located but all furniture is kind of aged, we had a room without Air condition, facing the street and sleeping was not easy. No fridge in the room the shower was leaking. So less then average for me.

The location of the Hotel at the park is nice. Despite it is almost in an industrial area and it seems an refuge/asylum location is nearby you find yourselves at a good location to visit the city and play golf. The hotel has limited rooms with airco. Other rooms are relatively small. Warning: Bathroom in basement-room is not suitable for guests with a BMI of over 32 ( were both not even close). The food is o.k. But the chef likes to overcook meat in general. A4 days stay is enough. You run out of the meals included in the package…

We were invited by our best friends to a 60th birthday incl. over night. The service was great! The food was really good! Would go there again any time! The room was good-sized and the view of the park was great!
