Just got back from a four-night stay here, and I have to say, I had a really great time. New life has been breathed into this resort, and it shows. I had last stayed several years ago in the cluster of rooms by the pool, and the rooms had not seen a renovation in awhile, lobby and convention space had not seen a renovation perhaps since the early 90s, and the badly-neglected casitas had been shuttered. I stayed in a newly-renovated and reopened Hacienda suite in the casita village section. First I want to talk about the service. This resort has the most cordial and attentive staff I've ever seen in a Tucson-area resort, and I've been to most of them. When you pull up to the porte cochere to check-in, a bellman opens the car door, greets you by name, opens the lobby door for you, and escorts you to the lobby to check in. All the other places just stare at you when you arrive, and have uptight, snooty and flippant guest services personnel. Another shout-out goes to housekeeping as well. Here, if I left the DND sign off the door, someone would show up and ask if I wanted service. If I did not, they would at least offer more towels, toiletries, and/or bottled water. Everywhere else, I'd have to go out of my way to request service. They also have turndown service here, which I used and appreciated. All it was missing was the chocolate on the bed. Public areas have been tastefully redone, and makes a great first impression. The country music, has to go, though--its inappropriate for a hotel of this caliber in Arizona. My hacienda suite (#502) was amazing. Prior to check-in, I received a text asking if I had any requests. I requested a hacienda suite with a scenic view of the golf course, and they delivered. I loved the remote-controlled fireplace, and large sofa in the living room, as well as the dining area. TVs now have pay-per-view movies and Chromecast for casting content from devices, which was nice. Bedroom was a nice retreat and had another TV, firm, yet comfortable bed, and like all the other rooms, a nice-sized walk-in closet. Bathroom had a huge shower and enclosed water closet. Counter was nicely stocked with designer bath products, along with cotton balls and swabs. Only gripes/room for improvement with the room was that it/they could benefit from a sitting area in the bedroom, and more color and decoration via maybe more art. Also, the doors were quite old, worn, and were hard to close properly, had mismatched door hardware, and bedroom and bathroom doors had no locks on them. The (terrible) low flow toilet had a very weak flush and the handle had to be held down. So many dining options have been added, and all were really awesome. The standouts were the lamb lollies and Tucson for two in The Peak, and the quesabirria in Legends. Sadly, it appears this resort still does not have room service which was shocking. Overall, I had a really nice experience at this resort, and I thought it represented a great value. I will continue to ret
