Spectacular. One of the best boutique hotels on the beach in Tulum. The rooms are on par if not better than the best luxury boutique hotels in the world The attention to detail is world class on the rooms, bar, pool and beach Xela is definitely in a class that few other properties are in.

Amazing experience - we celebrated our anniversary there and the hotel staff arranged for some surprises for us. The room was well decorated and atmospheric. Great for couple / intimate stay. The staff are super helpful and attentive. Best of all is that it is located at the quieter part of the beach which means you have the beach with few people. Hope we can go back again!

My first time in Tulum and I have to say Xela made my experience much more enjoyable. The service was top notch. The rooms, the lobby, the food the drinks were all top tier. They truly went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. I highly recommend this place. Super chic, clean and the views from their adorable rooftop were incredible for sunset views. Thank you all for such great service!!

Simply a perfect stay (3 nights) - we loved this hotel and its staff - was great and very helpful. Attention to every detail and personal touch. We will definitely come back for a longer stay! Highly recommended for those looking for small paradise pleace to relax.

This hotel is truly one of a kind. The layout of the hotel is exceptional and the staff was so welcoming. The views from the room, roof, and pool are all incredible. The drinks and food downstairs are so good as well. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing time at the beach with opportunities for fun as well.

We have mixed feelings when it comes to Xela. We did our wedding at one of the Namron establishments in May and thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of it. We opted to stay at Nu based on the fact it was relatively new and was recommended by the event coordinator. We wanted to love the stay, but left with mixed feelings. Pros: - lovely staff, always quick to respond and happy to help - unique hotel and very clean - private beach access and good availability of cabanas/chairs - great breakfast selection - excellent events team to assist with wedding coordination. Cons: - shower was always cold (you would think this is not a problem in the heat but there’s only so long you can do cold showers) - toilet was iffy - AC never felt cold enough. It was uncomfortable as we slept. - we had a room with a ‘plunge pool’ but it was not cleaned daily and had debris/dead bugs making you not want to use it. The wedding itself was great and felt seamless with the help of Fernanda. This was not in Fernanda’s control, but we found it to be difficult in securing a second room to use for hair/make-up/get dressed on the wedding day. After some back and forth, we were able to secure a second room for a few hours and as we were getting pictures taken I received a text message from one of the staff indicating I needed to leave the room (I was there for 3.5 hours total). This felt inconsiderate considering it was our wedding day and I was getting my hair/make-up done. Please note we paid for half nights’ stay to use for a few hours. I felt that I could’ve done without that pressure on my wedding day.
