Absolutely amazing week spent at Wakax on a mother and daughter trip. I couldn’t recommend this place and experience more. To start, this place is the epitome of quiet luxury. All the details are there, everywhere. The nature is stunning and the options plentiful, we had a chance to spend time at three different cenotes within the property (all completely different and fascinating), an underwater river, a lake where we both kayaked and did stand-up paddle, a lagoon where we swam, the three pools, the animals in the Mayan Village… We had bikes available to use at our leisure. Did a few of the yoga classes. All these things are included and I can tell you one week didn’t feel enough. Would have gladly stayed on and in fact considering going back soon. A special mention goes to David, our guide extraordinaire, whom I couldn’t recommend more. He’s knowledgeable, caring, attentive. Wakax has a great asset in him being there to guide you through all they have to offer. Thank you David from the bottom of our heart! We left the Hacienda a couple of times but honestly, there’s no need. There’s plenty to do right there and we enjoyed the experiences all alone for the most part. Where else can you have a cenote or a lake all to yourself? If you can, go to Wakax. I can assure you, you won’t regret it.

Wakax is a nature lover’s heaven. It’s so beautiful, with loads to do. The staff were without exception perfect, as were the rooms and the delicious food! We were treated so well. We were shown around the site by the on-site guide David, he was so kind, he talked about the history of the site and took us to the Cenotes. His passion really made our stay magical, his obvious love for nature and history really fits with the vibe of the hotel. We also loved the yoga and that you can get around the site on bicycles if you wish! We are already talking about coming back next year.
