Itza Hotel Akumal

Coming to Akumal was the best decision I could make on my trip to Mexico. It’s just a really peaceful place where you can enjoy the best of the Riviera Maya (Cenotes, open water diving, ruins, jungle, etc…) while you stay in a really comfortable place far away from the turistic areas so is a really strategic point for a lot of excursions. The hosts and workers are really kind and willing to help you always. The rooms are really confortables and you realize they take care of things. Also is the perfect place if you want to dive, the hotel is also a diving center and they offer really good tours, courses and certifications. The Hotel is really clean and the spaces are really good to share and socialice with other travelers, specially the pool with a really cool view and nice breakfast.

I stayed 5 nights at the ITZA hostel and I cannot fault my stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, Clarissa and Fernando catered to all my requests and questions about Akumal and the surrounding area. The hostel was very clean, secure and well equipped. The owners were very friendly and assisted my requests for excursions. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Akumal.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das ganze Personal ist sehr freundlich und man hat ein familiäres Gefühl. Morgens essen wir gemeinsam Pfannkuchen und trinken Kaffee. Auf dem Dach kann man abends wunderbar den Sonnenuntergang im Pool beobachten. Küche und Grill können mitbenutzt werden. Zum Strand sind es nur wenige Gehminuten.

Das Hotel ist nigelnagel neu und als jemand der in vorher in älteren Hostels unterwegs war, fühlte es sich an wie Luxusurlaub. Das Highlight für mich war der Pool mit Panorama-Ausblick. Das Hotel liegt im ruhigen Akumal aber mit einem Collectivo oder Taxi ist man ratzfatz in Tulum oder Playa del Carmen.

Me sentí como en casa. Necesitaba descansar y recargar las pilas y alojarme 4 noches en este pequeño hotel me acogió de maravilla. Super limpio, la cama muy cómoda. Todo el staff muy amable y serviciales. Me dieron excelentes consejos para las excursiones del día. La habitación tenía una cama King y 2 literas. La limpiaban a diario. El hotel también tiene una zona que funciona como hostal. Conoci a personas de muchos lugares muy agradables. La dueña, Lara es un amor y siempre me respondió a mis mensajes. Hay servicio de lavandería x 100 pesos y puedes cocinarte. Los desayunos están incluidos y son ricos. Regresaré y haré la experiencia de buceo con Lara

Les meilleurs à Akumal. Je suis arrivée tôt le matin (8h) et j’ai pu laisser mes valises dans une salle fermée à clé, et profiter du toit terrasse de l’hôtel ainsi que de la piscine avant d’aller à la plage. La personne du petit déjeuner est adorable, Lola à la réception est tellement gentille, pareil pour David. Les deux donnent des conseils sur quoi faire à Akumal, les bons plans, les cenotes gratuits, où et à quelle heure voir les tortues, où manger des tacos dans des endroits moins touristiques (le food truck à 2-3 blocs de l’hôtel), l’épicerie en face vend des bières à 20 MXN. Possibilité de garder ses aliments dans le frigo, tout est propre, bien organisé, les toilettes, les douches, le dortoir de 9. La rue est un peu bruyante mais ce n’est pas dérangeant avec des bouchons d’oreilles. Très bonne literie, prise près du lit, ventilateur, AC, wifi super rapide, eau potable à disposition. Un des meilleurs rapports qualité prix du coin. Parfait pour se reposer entre Tulum et Playa. Il y a un centre de diving directement dans l’hôtel. Je recommande à 100%. La proprio est française. Le petit déjeuner compris le matin est simple (toast cheese fruits pancakes, olalala les pancakes sont délicieux!!) peut-être une option avec des œufs serait appréciable mais dans l’ensemble c’est un 10/10
