Hotel Royal Torino Centro Congressi

名字很唬人，但設施其實有些陳舊，房間也很小。服務員態度很棒。

We visited the hotel in May. Room temperature was 27-28 degrees Celsius. Airco system present but switched off. When I asked why it wasn’t working the replied “because it’s not yet summer”. So I wonder what temp is necessary for them to switch on the Airco. Room is tight, but clean, wifi is solid. But I will not visit it again due to temperature.

I came here to volunteer for the Special Olympics World Games. I stayed for about a week. The staff was very friendly. They would great you. The room I had, contained a queen bed and a cot like bed. I assume the room was made for a family with young kids. I slept in the cot like bed. It was fairly comfortable. The room was a good size. It contained a small refrigerator and tea kettle. The staff did not restock the tea. I got extra tea from breakfast. The breakfast was a good variety. Eggs, meat, pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee machine, etc. The room was quiet. Good location. Really the only problem was that the key would deactivate. I would come to the room and the key didn't work. It happened more than once. Sometimes it could happen at night and in the morning. The staff would fix the problem.

Bad experience with this hotel. 1) The air conditioner did not ever work. They todl us that they will repair it next day (other room was not possible because the hotel was full, according to them). They did not ever repair the air conditioner. We were 5 nights from 15 July to 20 July with a terrible heat in the room (in fact when we arrived, there was a fun in the room, which is rare if you have air conditioned. Later, I understood why: they were not planning to repair the air conditioning). It was very difficult to sleep with such a heat in the room. The room is 514. Apart from this main problems. other issues: 2) Some of the outlets did not work. 3) The small refrigerator barely cooled 4) The bathroom: it smelles very very bad This hotel does not deserve the 4 starts it has at all. To be honest, the waiters in the breakfast were very kind, and the breakfast itself was ok.

I stayed here as part of a long weekend package to watch the Juventus vs Lazio football match. The trams outside the hotel are invaluable as they take you directly to the stadium and back (20 minute ride and 10 minute walk on tram 3) and also the tourist area of Plaza Castello in the opposite direction (tram 16 and a quick walk through the park). The hotel looks a little dated for a four star hotel but the staff are friendly, informative and professional. I can not fault the reception staff at all. Likewise, the breakfast carries everything you would expect from a continental breakfast and more! Such a huge choice you will not go hungry.. There is also a lovely little cafeteria on the corner outside to the left. Not so good was the room. I was given a room on the 6th floor (top) possibly as an afterthought as I was a solo traveller. The bathroom in particular was small and crammed to the point that the toilet was unusable for a larger person to site on. The shower was tiny with a poor flow of water. Again, not good for the larger person. Overall, good service but please inspect your room first.
