I am writing to file a complaint regarding a very serious and traumatic incident that my wife and our 11-month-old baby were subjected to during our stay at Lonicera World Hotel in alanya My wife was alone in our hotel room with our baby in the evening when a drunk, unknown man suddenly entered the room through the balcony door. She was not wearing her hijab and was in her private space. She panicked and screamed, but the man refused to leave and tried to move further into the room. She had to physically push him out while protecting our crying and frightened child. I was not present in the room at the time, which made the situation even more distressing — she was completely alone in an extremely unsafe and violating moment. ⸻ 🧯 The hotel’s response: When I later confronted the staff at reception, I could clearly sense and see that they were completely indifferent to what my wife had experienced. Their lack of empathy was shocking, and one staff member even laughed at me during the conversation. In particular, the hotel manager downplayed the incident and even suggested that “perhaps we were having an argument, and the unknown man was trying to help.” This is an unacceptable and offensive comment, which in no way justifies a drunk stranger entering our private room. No support, apology, or follow-up was offered. The hotel clearly has serious security issues, and the behavior of the staff was unprofessional and deeply disrespectful. Date of incident: June 1, 2025
