Kinder- & Gletscher Hotel Hintertuxerhof Zillertal

We stayed here with family and friends for a week of snowboarding at Hintertux Glacier. This is by far the best family hotel we have stayed in. Christian and the team do an amazing job here. The hotel is beautifully finished, the attention to detail is great, it is very clean and very family friendly. The facilities are great and cater for young children through to older children. The team are always happy to put on activities and get everyone involved. Winter sports, live music, sledging, hotel winter games, etc etc. The food is fantastic. Great breakfast buffet, great selection of food for evening meals. The catering team give a (limited) but varied selection of food to chose from evening meal each day including a fabulous buffet. It's great quality, extremely well presented and very tasty local and regional produce. There's even a brilliant afternoon snacks buffet after you come down the mountain from a day of winter sports. Staff are very friendly and very helpful with everything. The wellness facilities are first class and extremely well finished. I don't have anything bad to say about the place. We will definitely be coming back and look forward to staying as guests again with the team at Hintertuxhof! Thanks again to the whole team!

Brilliant stay last week for our family and friends. Fabulous hotel next to the mountain for access with amazing food options and lots of options for our young child to do. Everyone had a blast and we were treated incredibly well by the attentive and very friendly staff and owners. Definitely recommend staying and enjoying the Austrian hospitality and will look forward to coming back

I can’t fault this hotel, it’s excellent. We have stayed here several times without children and then this year travelled with our 10 month old. Every year has been great and this year the hotel made it so easy to travel with a little one. All of the baby equipment was provided, was clean, in great condition and all set up for our arrival. The day care was excellent, it was the first time we’d left the baby with non family members but I was reassured by the lovely ladies in the baby room and the care he received. Family rooms have plenty of storage and were cleaned to a high standardevery day. The bar and food is great, highlight for ya was the venison buffet. The bar and restaurant service is spot on. There is also a little play area by the restaurant so we could enjoy a drink whilst the baby played. Overall we are always made to feel so welcome here and this made for a very relaxing ski holiday for our family. We are looking forward to returning!!

Excellent accommodation especially for skiers, great location, comfortable rooms, perfect sauna centre, excellent food and very nice and accommodating staff. What more could you ask for! With regard to the snow guarantee, I can only recommend it.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful big rooms. Wonderful sauna, steam rooms etc. Very close to the ski lifts. About a 5-minute walk in ski boots but there is a local bus that passes every 20 minutes or so if you don't want to walk down the road. Great food.
