The hotel had scaffolding on its facade at the entrance. It was raining heavily and there is no parking for the hotel. Access is down a flight of stairs with no disabled ramp. There is a key operated disabled lift but rather than sand out in heavy rain had to negotiate the stairs and large puddle at foot of stairs. On arrival Superior Disabled twin on top 2 floors unavailable as all power to those floors was off. Given temporary room and had to move again at midnight once returned from a show in the city. Twin mattress in Superior room only 2'6" wide, not adequate for a 6'4" disabled male, and so low to the floor it was a real struggle to get up. Not a single chair in this room so disinclined to sit on the bed. Mattresses so firm we could not sleep. Wife has chronic back complaint. Tried to move to superior king size bed but just the same. No resolution available such as topper for beds or softer pillows, so chose to leave after one night of a three night stay. At least we could park free in the multi storey car park 100 yards away with a blue badge.
