What a paradise!! The rooms are amazing, totally new and plenty space. The staff is super friendly and the view is stunning! The perfect place to relax and enjoy the real africa. Also a good place for having only lunch or diner. The combination of tourists and locals coming there is greatly balanced and nice to experience. Conclusion: great place to go and stay, don't hesitate!! We will definitely come back!!

We had heard about the place's history which intrigued us. Then we saw the images of the gardens and views which looked very enticing. The food was excellent and Matimba's hosting us was superb. In fact it reminded us, particularly the gardens, of Palazzolo Torre di Bellosguardo in Italy, only, instead of looking down on Florence, we were looking down on Modjadjiskloof!

My wife and I stayed in Kings Walden many years ago and have always wanted to return. Our visit this month wih our Caanadian friends was not a disappointment. Under the new management of Hannes and Marike Bezuidenhout it lived up to our expectations. Comfortable rooms looking out onto the beautiful gardens which are in the process of being restored to their former glory and with a swimming pool close enough to virtually fall out of bed into it. The couple's hospitality and that of their staff couldn't be better and it was great having talks with Hannes. The food was delicious and. very well served. Definitely a place to be revisited,

After 10 years we came back to this beautiful place. Now with new owners some renovations have been done and the layout has been changed a bit. Ten years ago - on our first visit - there was nothing to complain about, we loved it from the first moment: the view, the tree, the people, the garden and the food. Everything was excellent. Now the view, the tree, the people, the garden and the food are still there and as excellent as ist was. PLUS the rooms have been renovated. We can imagine that 10 more years must have made it necessary to do some renovations. And they did it excellent. The spirit of Kings Walden is still there. The rooms are wide, the beds are very compfortable, the bathroom - especially the shower - is GREAT! What can I say. The best things are still there & the rooms got an upgrade. Hard to believe but this place has become ever better than it was. A boutique hotel at it's best.

very clean and elegant rooms. Friendly staff members. The breath-taking views of the mountains complimented with the dead tree. The gardens will be even more of an attraction. Thank you for the lovely weekend. Our kids loved it.

Marike and Hannes Bezuidenhout are the new owners of Kings Walden Garden Manor. One of the best changes is the menu. The new chef served such a beautiful dinner on the first night, we booked our dinner for the second night at Kings Walden as well. We enjoyed the beautiful view and gardens. Our room en suite was very spacious and the beds are good.

Woooow. That was the first thing I could say when we arrived at the Kings Waldon. What an amazing, absolutely breathtaking view. And best is you can have a drink or diner while enjoying these views. Spacious , beautifull decorated rooms, huge garden with swimming pool. We also had a nice diner & breakfast there and staff always very friendly. And last but not least: sincere kindness. We forgot the teddy bear of our youngest son, and the owner took care of it that it was returned to us. Wow again. :-) If you are in the neighbourhood, don't doubt to stay here in this Tzaneen paradise!

We had our marriage anniversary and it was wonderful. Just the right amount of luxury we liked. Very quiet and laid back without being stiff. Food was great! Bed could use stiffer matrass, but that is my personal taste.

Beautiful restored home, exceptional view, very nice gardens en swimming pool, but the weather was too cold to swim. Very friendly staff. Nice diner en breakfast. We will come back when we are in the neighbourhood.

Our first night in South Africa, we were welcomed in a very friendly way. A big and nice room, bathroom with shower and bath. Beautiful well maintained garden. Cosy restaurant with excellent food. Breakfast is very nice, you can choose out of more than 'eggs and bacon'. Lovely area, unfortunately we were only here for one night. We were on our honeymoon and the welcomed us with rose petals on the bed, very romantic 😍

The location of the lodge is really beautiful. The view is magnificent. The garden is wonderful. The rooms are large and we had a large bathroom with a shower and a bath for two. Service is very good and the food also. Very nice cheesecake! I would have preferred to stay longer to explore the moegabaskloof.

We had a wonderful stay ! We arrived by night and had the surprise of the astonishing view in the morning. The villa has a beautiful history and I strongly encourage you to take the complete tour of the house and the garden. The service, the food and the rooms were first class and we certainly will keep great memories of this stay. Thanks a lot again for your warm welcome !

My aunt and I visited the hotel for lunch today. She is South African, and I am from England. The views are incredible, the food was excellent, and the staff welcoming and friendly, thank you so much! An unforgettable experience.

The food, service, bed linen and pillows, setting and garden were all first class. The crispy rolls served warm with dinner were absolutely delicious. The hotel is situated at the top of a hill with a stunning view.
