Pluvio Restaurant and Rooms

Had a lovely stary at Pluvio rooms. The room itself was spacious and had everything and more needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the decor of the room and bathroom, the underfloor heating was lovely and the little games to play added a little extra to the room to relax together. We really enjoyed being able to take advantage of the fire pit on the outdoor patio at nighttime. The breakfast bento box was a lovely little touch - my partner did enjoy it more than I did (I would have liked maybe a little pastry included - a mini croissant etc but that is just personal preference) so it can be hit and miss but having it included was a really nice way to have a slow start to the morning and not having to worry about where to grab a breakfast on the go. Would 100% stay at Pluvio again if we are in the area - my partner described it as one of the best rooms he has ever stayed in!

We booked a Pluvio room for a weekend away from Vancouver city. The drive from Nanaimo ferry terminal was a beautiful lead up to a wonderfully relaxing weekend. Our room was ready on arrival and check in was super easy with parking right next to our room. The room is bright, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Gorgeous big bathroom with rain shower, local organic toiletries and fresh white towels and robes. The bed was big and comfortable with ambient lighting and AC in the room. The balcony is quiet and private and looks out onto trees and garden. Lots of nice touches such as iron and full size ironing board. Breakfast is provided in the room. Fresh ground coffee, teas, milk and cream and a freshly prepared bento box of delights. We had eggs, smoked fish, salad, Greek yogurt, berries and delicious granola. All prepared in the restaurant. We dined at Pluvio both nights. Absolutely outstanding as ever. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Pluvio.

Like the well-loved story of Goldilocks, everything at Pluvio was just right. The hard-working team of Lily, Warren and crew make their perfect hosting seem effortless. No pretence here, this two-night stay afforded me the best sleep I've had in some time (and not just because the cats were home and not waking me up at 4 am!). Very clean and comfortable room (the Crab room upper floor), very sunny when the drapes are open, and a king-size bed with beautiful linens. Just like a warm hug. And all this in the beauty of the best west coast of Vancouver Island with biking and hiking trails providing epic views of this rugged landscape. The Chef's Tasting Menu at Pluvio Restaurant is not to be missed and warrants a review of its own.

Do yourself a favour and treat yourself (and a loved one) to dinner and a stay at Pluvio Restaurant and Rooms. This isn't our first visit to the restaurant but coupling it with a stay at their well appointed rooms made it next level. So lovely to enjoy a delicious, leisurely dinner with cocktails and wine pairings and then walk five steps to fall into the comfortable king sized bed with garden views. On top of that, you get to wake up to a delicious bento style breakfast waiting for you in your room and start your day with strong coffee while you enjoy the moody vibes of Ucluelet. The restaurant tasting menu has always been phenomenal - and still is - well worth the trip for us (from Vancouver). The team working at Pluvio is flawless, the food divine and the wine pairings inspired. To pair it with a stay at their cozy, modern rooms made the experience perfection. Highly recommend, we will be back.

We only have good things to say about this beautifully kept, spacious room with an amazing walk-in shower, heated floor in the bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the garden where deer were roaming early one morning. The breakfasts were outstanding and we loved the unique bento box presentation. A great location within walking distance to all services in central Ucluelet. Thank you Lily and Warren!

The attention to detail is next level. From the accommodations, the exceptional food, the lovely team, and the charming owners, we loved everything! We were warmly welcomed and made to feel special. You gotta come here and experience it all.
