Jaiwana Haveli

The hotel has one of the best locations in the udaipur offering closest proximity to key attractions like City Palace, Jagdish temple, Jagmandir , Hanthipol market, karni mata ropeway. Also nearby restaurants offer authentic ghar ka khana which are run by families. Other than lots of shopping places nearby. We enjoyed our stay alot. Hosts were pretty helpful during our stay , offering us suggestions for places to visit and best time to visit.

We stayed (my wife and I and my son and his girlfriend) in Jan 25 for 3 nights. This hotel was the recommendation from our son in law, where his family have stayed numerous times. The hotel is charming. Family run with Harsh at front of house, nothing is too much trouble, no matter who you ask. This basic hotel is so well located for everything you want to do in Udaipur. Be aware there are no lifts, and some of the access to rooms is labyrinthine. We stayed in rooms at the back of the hotel, high up and had good views of the lake. But really the best vantage point is the dining terrace, where you view the Summer Palace in the middle of the lake, as well as the beautiful buildings opposite. Our bed was comfortable and the room spacious enough. The only issue I have was the shower. We were used to 20 minute reheats, but our shower barely worked. This has to be a simple problem to fix. The food was great and the service quietly efficient. I would happily stay here again and would recommend Jaiwana Haveli.

We stayed at Jaiwana Haveli for 4 nights. The lobby staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including helping to arrange taxis and managing laundry. The corner rooms were airy and beautiful - we started out in a room on a lower floor, where privacy was limited because we were on the same level as the rooftop restaurants of some other nearby hotels, but then moved to a higher floor which felt much more private. The rooftop restaurant has beautiful views and great food - a very nice daily breakfast is included - and Laloo and the other restaurant staff were lovely.

Jaiwana Haveli is like home away from home. The rooms are aesthetic yet simple and comfortable. The hotel is well maintained and is a beautiful old haveli converted. Owners used to live there too just a few years back. The owner Harsh, now a very good friend, is the sweetest guy, warm, welcoming and well spoken which also reflects in the behaviour of the staff. The views of old city and lake Pichola are spectacular from the rooms and its rooftop restaurant. Me and my wife sat on the terrace for hours watching the beauty of old city Udaipur and the sun set as we sipped our favourite drinks ***** with soothing bhajans with bells ringing from close by temples. The location of the haveli is perfect, 5 min walk to Jagdish temple as well as Ghanghor ghat and the city palace. If you are looking for a homely hotel, look no further than Jaiwana Haveli. Stayed four nights here with my teenage son. A beautiful place with sensational views of the lake and hills from the rooftop restaurant, which serves very good breakfasts. Opulent decor - marble staircase, character- filled spaces, old world charm. Very helpful host - we went on a cycling tour with him, which I highly recommend doing. Our room was a long climb up, but worth it - spotless, spacious and very nicely decorated. If stairs are an issue for you, make sure to ask for room that's lower down. Very short walk to lots of restaurants, attractions and shops. Highly recommend this place and plan to return one day.

What an awesome haveli! Loved everything about Udaipur & Jaiwana in our 3 nights stay - lake Pichola facing room, super comfy bed (we had the best sleep there during our Rajasthan travel), excellent roof-top restaurant and personal service as per our food tastes and a wonderful host/front-office. Its location is equally fantastic just opp Lal Ghat and yet away from the din of markets. Some of top sights, shops and cafes are very near to the haveli, making it a perfect spot to base your stay. Keep up the great work, team! Highly recommended.
