Panna Vilas - A Lake Facing Boutique Hotel

Thank you very much (Panna Vilas staff) for making our evening yet another memorable one. We like the food here very much. I would especially like to thank Chef Rajendra Das Ji who always suggests us some new dishes and serves us very well. It is true that a good chef is the strong pillar of a restaurant.

The hospitality what you expect in Rajasthan/Udaipur, Pannavilas surpasses that. Excellent rooms, aesthetically and most of the rooms have different designs. Team is great and they take care of the minor details. I noticed that they have hired physically challenged team members also. Amazing view of Fatehsagar lake from the top Deck of the restaurant. Would definitely visit back with the family.

I am a single female western tourist and had a room booked here for several months in advance with my Indian guide and after spending 8 hours on a train and trying to check in at 11pm, the hotel staff made the decision not to allow a "foreigner" to check in with a "local". I could hear the hotel front desk staff on the phone with the manager repeatedly stating "foreigner, foreigner, foreigner, locaL, local, local". My advice is for no western tourist to ever stay in this hotel as they engage in discriminatory behavior in the name of religion, yet behave in cruel ways that are against religion such as not allowing a reservation for a foreign guest checking in at 11pm after a long journey. I also noticed that there was a group of about 15 young people on the second floor lobby at 11pm partying directly outside of the rooms, so I don't believe I would have slept here anyway with all of the obnoxious noise that the staff did nothing about.

Overall good and decent hotel to stay with friends and family. All the staff is very cooperative. Just the rooftop restaurant food is bit costly and not worth the price. The location is also very prime,good and aesthetic interior. Good and budget friendly.
