Extraordinary Huts Ltd

Had booked The Hive for two nights but after viewing the description of the place was not what I expected at no time did it mention the bedroom area anyone over 5ft would have to crawl around on all fours as the ceiling is so low my husband is 6ft 4 so was not a good place for him to be also the iron staircase is so narrow Ok if your a size 8/10 but no good for larger ladies The first night I slept on the settee as the thought of sleeping with the ceiling so close to my face would of been like being in a coffin This place is not cut out for older people steep steps up to the property The walk in shower and toilet are no bigger than a broom cupboard The area is beautiful and oversell if you can look through the other bits lovely pub a short walk away through the woods The Plough Don’t expect too much from the Hive not even toast for breakfast no toaster as no electricity ,very basic and odd cups and plates

Beautiful views and great communication from the owner on how to find it and access your hut. We stayed in The Hive for one night and it was a little dusty, everything needed a deep clean. It didn’t ruin our trip, and would visit again in the hope this was a one off error.

Check in was easy, The Hive is a quirky place to stay with great views. Very clean.

A tranquil, peaceful setting in the countryside! A tranquil, peaceful setting in the countryside with beautiful views the hut was idyllic with everything you could need to get away from it all and relax. The Hive has been beautifully decorated and is very cozy with a lovely log fire. The fire pit is a great addition. There is a lovely pub and farm shop/cafe serving delicious homemade food within walking distance and it is situated within a 10 minute drive from the lovely Rye itself.

Said field was entirely secure but the 2 gates to the main road were open. Was told that I could have closed them but that doesn’t stop someone else leaving it open. Then was told that it’s not his fault I cannot control my dog. I wanted to be able to let him off and know that he was safe.

Loved the hut, enjoyed our stay. I brought a 3 course meal with me. So no need to eat out! Lovely and cosy. I would have liked a small saucepan to do porrige in morning. We managed with a big one!! I also wasnt good with lighting the gas rings. I would prefer a long lighter . And no hooks for towels when wet out of shower. In bedroom there were a few cobwebs and spiders in nooks and crannies. Whilst not scared, I felt these had been on ceiling and edges for some time. However bed very cosy. Thought bed was facing wrong direction..Very picky I know, but attention to detail is important.. I think 2 pairs of curtains were mixed up. . Lengths of curtain not same on 2 windows. Just being overly critical, sorry. . I wouldnt have odd lengths on curtains on my windows at home. Probably most people would never notice!! We did enjoy our stay.
