Upon arrival through a well kept pool area and braai facilities, you are welcomed with a friendly smile to check you in to what i describe is the most beautifully decorated; exquisite and comfortable room with a breathtaking view of the Umhlanga ocean. A continental breakfast is all ready in your room on a daily basis which leaves you more than satisfied. And the coffee in the room is proper coffee ;)

Hillside Guesthouse was superb, spacious and super clean. The cold breakfast was for me the healthiest and catered for my dietary requirements. I enjoyed my stay and will recommend to friends and colleagues.

Wonderful location, spacious room and bathroom, loved the clever use of space for the kitchenette and selection for breakfast and snacking! Hosts are very accommodation and an all over very enjoyable stay. As a solo female traveller, was wonderful to be able to walk to the beach and shops with ease!

This is our go to guesthouse to book for our clients coming from out of town that need a place to stay. They make you feel right at home very Friendly and also very well situated to loads of restaurants and a stone throw away from Umhlanga Promenade.

My partner and I had an amazing time at Hillside Guesthouse. The host Ina was super accommodating and for that we are very thankful. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Perfect spot to unwind and relax. Thank you so much. :)

I stay away a lot and use hotels b&b and guesthouses. This has to be the best one so for, I’d choose this over any other accommodation. Clean, comfortable , amazing views, it had everything Well done all

The guesthouse has great facilities, both the rooms and outdoors. It is conveniently located, close to the beach and restaurants. The hosts are very friendly, and they came up with an innovative way to serve a great continental breakfast.

Beautiful warm welcoming family and couple , beautiful rooms, neat and fresh linen. Love the littlest things such as drinks in the room’s and cereal. So many little things done with love. It was home away from home. The pool was so tiny though. Just for your feet but perfect hide out place.

Absolutely incredible Guesthouse, the room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The attention to details, location and excellent service combined create an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend Hillside Guesthouse to all travels looking for accommodation in Umhlanga.
