Umthunzi Hotel and Conference

From checking in at the reception to going into my hotel room, the staff was super helpful and had an amazing customer etiquette. My room had an immaculate ocean view and a balcony. The only issue I had was when I was trying to unlock the sliding door leading to the balcony, however when I call reception, they immediately sent a facilities personnel to unlock and explained that the double lock on the sliding door is to ensure that there is sufficient security. The king size bed was wonderful. Toilet and shower was so clean that you can even have a meal in there with the facilities fully operational. My only suggestion to the hotel management (and it’s something I have noticed in a lot of hotels) is that they should try and incorporate a two-pin plugging socket next to or under the side table to make it easier when you want to use your laptop or cellphone while charging. The charging point was a bit further from the bed, but wasn’t an inconvenience to me because I had only wanted to charge. Overall, my stay my amazing. I had the best dinner buffet. 10/10.

What an amazing stay! The executive room is so beautiful! Gorgeous four poster bed with a beautiful Seaview- fluffiest duvet & pillows, gorgeous setting. The staff are amazing! They honestly go out of their way to assist you with a smile. Great attention to detail. We made great memories here! Also an awesome buffet breakfast. My favorite touch was that I had to leave very early on Sunday morning to visit my mom in hospital in Richardsbay Umthunzi made me the most awesome take away lunch pack - it was very special- thank you. Highly recommended

I had a great expereince to sleep on the Luxury room 33, nice dinner and break fast. Friendly staff in the reception. I can refere this hotel to everyone. I posted on my WhatsApp account and 100 veiws, all want this Location, uMtunzi Hotel. Excellent in hospitality

There were a few unexpected accidents, like the water, menu needs to be a variety so guess can stay in the pub and have a good meal to eat, a very big thank u to Bright for helping us with the water issues also he went out of his way to ensure we had a a meal prepared for us when the food got finished. Also another manager paid for our drinks on the 1st nite, over all a great place with some miner changes it was a lovely place to stay with a beautiful view

Staff were very welcoming which made up for any shortcomings.wasnt least impressed with the bathroom, had an empty showercap box as well as used toilet paper which was too little so don’t understand why it was left for me to use

The say was excellent. Food was perfect, always hot, fresh and selicious. Staff were very accommodating amd always looking to assist. They have ajoining family rooms for that family getaway. Perfectly situated close to town but not so close that traffic noise became a problem. Will definitely come again.

THE RECEPTIONIST WAS SO WELCOMING AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS COMING BACK HOME. THE ROOMS ARE SO SPACIOUS THAT IT FEELS SO COMFORTABLE AND THE CHOICE FOR WATCHING ON THE SCREEN MAKES FOR GOOD ENTERTAINMENT. THE BREAKFAST WAS SO NICE, I WAS HAPPY FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. I DEFINITELY BELIEVE THIS IS MY GO TO PLACE FOR PORT SHEPSTON.

The hotel facilities, location and value for money were excellent, but a special mention must be made concerning the staff. The friendliness, efficiency and willingness of the staff to make this occasion special meant a lot to us. We'll never forget the staff, in heritage outfits, singing 90th birthday wishes at breakfast. And a special mention must be made of the catering staff at the diner in the hall that night. All in all, a memorable occasion.
