My wife and I stayed here for a family event in San Fernando. A local relative managed to book us a “superior” room for 960 TTD pn (internet booking sites only offered the more expensive “executive” rooms at 1,146.84 TTD pn), which although small, was adequate for our needs with a fridge, microwave, good aircon, comfortable bed, kettle, cups and tea/coffee/creamer and a roll of kitchen towel. The ensuite bathroom had a good shower and soap/shampoo/hand lotion were replenished daily. There was water in the fridge but this proved not to be complimentary (although it was cheaper than in the on-site shop). Daily housekeeping was good. Everything was clean and worked well. Our only concern about the room was that there were immovable bars on the window which would have prevented escape in the event of a fire. The breakfast available was not buffet-style – you ordered from a small menu (and the kitchen sometimes did not seem to have (or want to provide) the most basic of items). There were insufficient staff at breakfast and the service was sometime very slow. One waitress was friendly and helpful, some of the others seemed keen to avoid you and the coffee refills took so long in coming that we had generally left before the “floating pot” arrived. On one occasion we were told the coffee machine had broken down so not to wait (which at least saved us time and disappointment). Reception staff seemed pleasant and were willing to accept USD in exchange for TTD but when it came to changing our unused TTD back we were given the runaround - firstly being told a supervisor had to be present and later being told bluntly that they did not offer a TTD buyback service, so unfortunately our parting impression of the hotel was less favourable than our initial impression on arrival. The property does not have lifts so there are a lot of steps. It is not a disabled friendly hotel. I hope you find this review helpful.
