Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat

After the husband was flat out with deadlines, we decided to take a break from the everyday and recharge. This was our second visit to Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat, and we can definitely say it just keeps getting better. Paul was there to greet us and looked after us so well. The weather was great for a night on the hill, rain, mist, storms, just wonderful and perfect red wine weather. Dinner was fabulous as usual, and we found ourselves unwinding by the minute. My biggest treat were the girls greeting us in the morning with their big handsome leader (pic below). This place is just so relaxing and peaceful, and we will certainly be back. Thanks again guys.

This one of the best places we have escaped to on our road trips. Location and outlook superb, accommodation is top notch and saved the best to last. Hosts Paul and Craig are genuinely the best and most caring hosts for which you could hope. Always helpful and happy to boot! Special mention to the food…. Just excellent!

A very special country retreat. Craig and Paul made us feel so welcome. The house and room very comfortable, and the food delicious. The grounds were spot on and the veiws from the verandah and pool were spectacular.

What a wonderful place and like the heading said the views are magnificent and you could really imagine yourself in Italy. Paul & Craig were the best hosts so helpful with any request. The room was beautiful with magic views and comfortable outdoor furnishings everything was just perfect. We had dinner the night we stayed and it was delicious as was the breakfast the next morning. Lots to do and see around that part of the world from, walks to rainforest, beaches close by, food/drink, my favorite place Tweed River Art Gallery and the Margaret Olley reconstruction of her house in Sydney. Thanks Paul & Craig for letting us experience the magic setting you have established for all to enjoy. Oops cannot forget to mention those gorgeous happy labs what characters they are! How lucky we were to find a vacancy in the Cottage at Hillcrest. Nestled in the foothills of magical Wollumbin, the great Mt Warning, this cosy retreat gave us wonderful opportunity to welcome in the cooling weather of Autumn with a fireplace blazing and a perfect view of the mountain — and the rolling rain, cloud and fog — from the comfort of our double spa. If we were any more relaxed, we'd be treacle! Our hosts, Craig and Paul, were beyond welcoming. They entertained us and fed us delicious meals, then allowed us to plunder their stocks of farm eggs and home-made jam and marmalade — lime and vanilla... yum! Some friendly Labradors gave the place a very homey feel. We can't wait to come back.

Our stay was beyond expectations - the cottage (spacious, comfortable, private, comfy bed), the food (both dinner and breakfast high quality in a beautiful ambiance outside), the pool, views, etc etc. Paul and Craig are lovely and fun. We just had a great time. Oh.....book a complementary massage - highly recommendable by a special and intuitive lady. Never before have we experienced such a good and effective massage.
