Las Casitas del Arco Iris

It was another wonderful stay. The room is super equipped with a fireplace, large bathroom with bath and shower, kettle, tea, etc.. We were even served breakfast on our own terrace. There is also a common room with a fireplace, microwave and the possibility to store your own food in the fridge. Together with the wonderful playground on the grounds, a very child-friendly place. We would love to come back.

My experience at this place was absolutely wonderful. Valéria, part of the staff (a person I emphasize my deep admiration for, this WOMAN is a literal WONDER WOMAN ❤️) Valéria took care of each guest at a level that impressed me greatly. Not only did he welcome, but he explained about the local gastronomy, the history of the Foundation, who made up the Team, naming each one of you, the plants, the history of each building, without words to thank and describe his affection. And I think it is very important to mention it. The gentlemen of Security, especially Mr. André, a River of kindness. Love, respect, beauty, care is little to define this place. No solo acogió, pero explicaba sobre la gastronomía local, la historia de la Fundación, quien conformaba el Equipo, nombrando a cada uno de ustedes, las plantas, la historia de cada edificación, sin palabras para agradecer y describir su cariño. Y me parece muy importante mencionarlo. Los señores de Seguridad, sobretodo el Señor André, un Rio de amabilidad. Amor, respeto, belleza, cuidado es poco para definir este lugar. Lo super recomiendo!

Urubamba is the perfect place to acclimate to higher altitude and Las Casitas is the perfect place in Urubamba. Secluded, yet personal, quaint, yet stylish, a thriving school, yet a romantic get away. We enjoyed the kind service and the delicious meals. The location was great for our driver to bring us to Sacred Valley day trips.

I loved every single moment in this beautiful place. Kind and professional staff, gardens, bungalows are amazing, meals absolutely delicious, happy children getting very good care! What a wonderful foundation! Congratulations to all involved in this already 23 year proyect!

If you’re planning a trip to Machu Picchu, Las Casitas del Arco Iris is an outstanding stop-off point in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Surrounded by spectacular views of the Andes, the hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquility. We stayed in one of the fabulous bungalows, which had a rusticly quaint bathroom and its own terrace and fireplace. Accessed through the grounds of a school, the hotel has its own pretty gardens, a homely restaurant and even a ‘yoga dome’. The staff are wonderful and the meals are delicious and beautifully presented. The profits from the hotel support a children’s foundation which provides education and health services to families in the Sacred Valley. All in all, this is a very special place.

What a wonderful little paradise this place is. We had the most amazing stay with some delicious food and the staff was amazing all around with all their services including laundry so we didn’t need to go back home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes. The accommodations were wonderful with a fireplace to break the chill of the night air. The grounds were just magical. Waking up with the birds and embracing the mountains surrounding the property. And the Cupula/sound chamber was the perfect place for morning meditation/yoga and stretching. What a hidden gem this was. The cherry on top was the fact that we were supporting a school in the process of staying here and being able to visit the grounds after hours and see the wonderful facilities. Would definitely stay here again in a heart beat next time I am in Peru.
