Las Casitas del Arco Iris

This is a beautiful property with lots of gardens. it's well run with great staff and kitchen. The facilities and rooms are spotless. It's located within the walls of an elementary school with joyful sounds during the day and silence at night. It's a hike into town, but taxis/tuk tuks are easy to get and plentiful. Inca ruins are right behind it, up a steep climb. My casitas didn't have heating, but had a fireplace a supply of wood and help starting it if you want. Overall, way nicer than any typical hotel, do yourself a favour and spend a few days to relax or aclimatise.

Las Casitas del Arco Iris This gem is not only small paradise for any gast to stay is als an important place for the poor kids of Urubamba. The luxurious rooms and the retraite environment are overwhelming. This hotel finances a school for about 200 kids, with the profit from the hotel room. The poorest kids in town ger well fed, medical care and schooling. Must go for anybody who visits Urubamba.

My experience at this place was absolutely wonderful. Valéria, part of the staff (a person I emphasize my deep admiration for, this WOMAN is a literal WONDER WOMAN ❤️) Valéria took care of each guest at a level that impressed me greatly. Not only did he welcome, but he explained about the local gastronomy, the history of the Foundation, who made up the Team, naming each one of you, the plants, the history of each building, without words to thank and describe his affection. And I think it is very important to mention it. The gentlemen of Security, especially Mr. André, a River of kindness. Love, respect, beauty, care is little to define this place. I highly recommend it! Mi experiencia en este lugar fue absolutamente maravillosa. Valéria, parte del staff (una persona que recalco mi profunda admiración, esta MUJER es literal WONDER WOMAN ❤️) Valéria se ocupo de cada invitado a un nivel que me ha marcado demasiado. No solo acogió, pero explicaba sobre la gastronomía local, la historia de la Fundación, quien conformaba el Equipo, nombrando a cada uno de ustedes, las plantas, la historia de cada edificación, sin palabras para agradecer y describir su cariño. Y me parece muy importante mencionarlo. Los señores de Seguridad, sobretodo el Señor André, un Rio de amabilidad. Amor, respeto, belleza, cuidado es poco para definir este lugar. Lo super recomiendo!

In Las Casitas, you get the feeling that you are part of something bigger, as they are generously showing you around the premises of the school. We were amazed! Las Casitas is operated by an organization called Niños del Arcoiris and provides education and coaching to underprivileged children. There are only a few bungalows for guests, and we were fortunate to stay in one of them. The design of the bungalows is a bit fairytale-like. They all have fireplaces and feel very “homy”. The staff had arranged with logs and eucalyptus branches in the room so it should be easy for us to make a cosy fire in the evening. Valeria was greeting us with a smile, proud to answer all our thousands of questions. She had arranged for a guided tour of the school, that they run for these children. The tour was amazing - to see how much love and energy had gone into this concept! The breakfast was excellent, and the food in general as well! If you are into spiritual experiences - this would be the place! The hotel helped to arrange for a meeting with a Shaman, sound-healing, Yoga and more. The place is located only 1,5 hour with taxi from Cusco - do not miss this!

I loved every single moment in this beautiful place. Kind and professional staff, gardens, bungalows are amazing, meals absolutely delicious, happy children getting very good care! What a wonderful foundation! Congratulations to all involved in this already 23 year proyect!

We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday in the stablishment. Our stay was actually great, we found the appearance of the place beautiful and clean and the personal was enchanting and caring, we'd love to come back sometime later for future events. Congratulations to Valeria and her team!
