I will start off by saying that I have stayed at many hotels, most at a much cheaper rate, and have never experienced the horrendous services I received here. I arrived to a dirty room full of dust, dead bugs, dirty dishes, stains on the blanket and pillow case, and empty boxes of things that were supposed to be included with the room. There were also bugs, i.e. worms and spiders, found on multiple occasions. Management was not on the grounds, so I emailed with my concerns. They were not rectified nor were they even acknowledged. I rented the room for two days, and explained that I would be away from the room all day on Saturday. I had personal items in the room, so I asked that no one come into the room while I was away. I was free both on Friday and Sunday if an in person meeting was necessary. I was also answering phone calls and emails. At 9:30 pm when I got back to the room, the owner was knocking on my door. She pulled us outside to talk, recording the conversation without our permission. She was rude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She stated this was how bed and breakfasts worked. How is this professional? This was way beyond business hours, and I was not notified that she was going to come by. Not even a phone call. I then learned that she had entered my room when she knew I was away. She stated that she saw a light on and thought I was there, but came in when I did not answer the door. How is this ethical? I could have been indecent, and I had already stated I didn't want anyone in the room without me there. I was even charged for guests that did not stay at the residence. Avoid this place at all costs. After all of this the owner did not even have the decency to contact me to rectify this situation.
