La Savoyarde

My husband & I enjoyed a big birthday getaway in this charming & cosy hotel. It is well located within a stone's throw away from the village, a supermarket & public recycling bins, and very near some ski slopes where we could enjoy the Apres Ski music from our relaxing balcony but without being overwhelmed by the loudness & crowd. An underground public parking building is located just opposite the hotel. Although the room was a bit small for us with 2 large suitcases, the bathroom was spacious & we were spoiled with having bathrobes and slippers, and the toilet was located separately from the bathroom. There was a wide variety of hot & cold food and drinks at the included breakfast with adequate amount in the nice restaurant, with tables covered in red & white tablecloth and staff were dressed in black/white attire which added to the lovely ambience. We enjoyed drinks in the lounge bar that was tastefully decorated. ..... In contrast, there was a lack of tea/coffee making facilities in our room. We asked for a kettle to boil hot water for our own consumption (vs. drinking cold tap water) which was granted by a less friendly receptionist on duty, and it was too hard to ask her for cups/mugs! ..... We also found rubbish (i.e. almonds, paper) behind the chest of drawers in our room.

The hotel was very well maintained and well located. The spa facilities were an added bonus and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Highly recommended hotel. Perfect location, very friendly staff, good breakfast, mini spa, and brilliant bar. We were a family with older teenagers and it worked well for skiing and the evenings.
