The Blue Eco Lodge - Adults Only

From the moment I arrived at The Blue Eco Lodge, I felt like I was visiting old friends rather than staying at a lodge. The hosts, a delightful couple (Harry and Ahidel) are the heart and soul of this incredible place. Their warmth, friendliness, and genuine passion for hospitality made my stay truly unforgettable. The lodge itself is a gem. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and designed with thoughtful, eco-friendly touches. The peaceful gardens create a serene atmosphere, making it a perfect escape from the everyday hustle. Every morning, Harry personally prepared the most delicious breakfasts for me, each dish bursting with flavor and made with care, always served with a friendly chat and a smile. The location is fantastic for exploring nearby cenotes and other local attractions. The hosts went above and beyond to provide recommendations and ensure I had everything I needed to make the most of my visit. Their insider tips made a huge difference! It’s rare to find a place that offers such a perfect blend of comfort, natural beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. The Blue Eco Lodge is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience that leaves you with lasting memories and a desire to return. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Valladolid!

Valladolid is a MUST, but the true treasure there is a small bed & breakfast called Blue Eco Lodge. It is run by a wonderful couple Harry and his wife Aidel (pronounced "Idele"). They are such kind souls. He is English, she is Oaxacan. Excellent people, personalities and conversationalists!! They run the property with pride; a pristine pool, a nice strolling garden, AND a golden retriever named BRUCE. The property is minutes away from two cenotes, and is a $5-$7 ride into the heart of town. The food they create is incredible and the rooms are clean, the water pressure in the shower is hot and STRONG! They made our trek into the jungle a once-in-a-lifetime event :) This was a last-minute find with a fixed time limit, but now we know they're there, we'll make it a longer stay next time. You will not be disappointed.

Exceptional stay in a beautiful & tranquil setting! Harry and Ahidel (The owners/hosts) are the best. They make you feel right at home as soon as you arrive plus the accommodations and hotel are great with nice gardens, hammocks and areas to relax outside other than by the pool and bar. They make a fresh breakfast in the morning, which is top notch, and their property is tucked away just outside of town for easy access.

The hosts, Harry and Ahidel are very nice, good communicators and have lots of helpful tips. You can feel that they love what they do and want you to feel at home. We really enjoyed the tasty, fresh and plentiful breakfast. They are fantastic cooks. The room was large and really clean. The bed was super comfortable. We slept like babies. The location is quiet and close to Valladolid. The pool and garden are well maintained. Good to relax after a long day of visits. There is also a bar where you can taste lovely cocktails. It’s a good value for money. We highly recommend it!

We were looking for a place to 'decompress' for 24 hours before travelling back to the the UK after a 'full on' two weeks of exploring Mexico and Harry and Ahidel place came up trumps! Beautiful small hotel just outside Valladolid, perfect hosts, perfect welcome, perfect experience. Perfect! Thank you Harry for the great 'craic', making us a special evening meal and a filling breakfast and thank you Ahidel for the tour of your wonderful garden. If we'd have found you sooner we would have stayed longer. Verte otra vez!

Everything at The Blue Eco Lodge was top-notch. After our VRBO was a no go, the Blue opened their doors at last minute and welcomed us with open arms. Harry and Idel are wonderful gracious hosts. We felt safe and secure. The beds are so comfy and the shower has nice water pressure. Our amazing breakfast was served at our requested time so no rushing. The grounds and pool are clean and inviting. The birds and surrounding area give a true jungle feel. We will definitely be back to stay at this gorgeous sanctuary.
