Poor first impression. Got to our room at 11 pm in Saturday; the front desk didn't warn us that there was no light in the elevator and there was no signage advising of the issue. The room was satisfactory , however there were only sheer curtains covering the window and the drapes were decorative and did not close to block out the light; we woke up to a bright sunrise. Went downstairs for coffee and juice only to be disappointed to see signs indicating there was no coffee or orange juice. Went to Burger King nearby. There was also a sign in the morning advising of no light in the elevator, front desk hoped it would be fixed on Monday. We definitely didn't get our money's worth of the $189 room rate.

Best Western had the best breakfast we have ever encountered. Large variety, including eggs, bacon, or sausage, potatoes, fresh fruits, cereals, breads, waffles… Pretty much anything you could ever think of to desire. Amazing! We had a very clean and quiet room. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a nice hotel. It felt safe in and out of the hotel. I was struggling to find a hotel in the area that was safe for my family, since crime rate is high in this part of the state. I would recommend this hotel to other families. It is a good location if you are wanting to see the Indiana Dunes.

The hotel had a nice vibe--not fancy, but clean and friendly. I'd definitely stay here again. I especially liked the gym. It's rare for a BW to have a working gym. It's a small space but well equipped. The noise from the elevator (an alarm-like beep every time it came to my floor) was very annoying, so ask for a room far from the elevator.

Extremely smooth check-in and check-out. Not rushed but not delayed either. Services were readily available if needed but no interruptions or unnecessary bothering. Very pleasant and helpful staff! An outstanding visit!

We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet. I love oatmeal and it was your usual instant variety, but it offered several extras. It had brown sugar and raisins plus strawberries and blueberries. Small details make a difference when you start to not get excited by hotel breakfast bars. Requested my receipt on checkout and noticed an error. Someone had charged snacks to my room number. Cornelius handled it perfectly. He was a pleasure to interact with.

Hotel lobby is very very small and there are no vending machines so when we first arrived I wasn't expecting much. However, staff was helpful and courteous, and our room was very nice and well-sized. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was fresh, hot, tasty and pleasantly displayed. We will most certainly be back assuming rates do not increase.
