Hotel Tridev

We recently visited Varanasi under a package tour arranged by our travel agent, Indian Holiday Private Ltd (IHPL), Delhi. They suggested this hotel, as I have also asked them to arrange VIP darshan of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Cruise of River Ganga, and as it is supposed to be near the temple and ghats. The representative of IHPL and driver picked us up from Banaras station and we reached the hotel after 30 minutes covering a distance of about 5-6km and passing through a congested road/flyover etc. My first impression of the hotel was not good as it is situated on a very crowded one-way street having multi-faceted traffic of rikshaws, cycles, 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers etc. and the driver found it quite difficult to even park the car. To reach the reception in a small lobby, we had to climb about 7-8 steps. The check-in time in this hotel is 1 PM but since we reached the hotel at 11-00 AM, we had to wait for about one hour for a room to be cleaned. Our room was on 3rd floor and there is an elevator overlooking the main road. Inside, the hotel appeared to be reasonably spacious with about 15-20 rooms on each floor. Room was OK but it did not provide a good view from the widows as the hotel is surrounded by several houses on three sides. Of course, the room was fairly spacious with good furniture and furnishings. The bathroom was also ok and so were the other amenities like, electric kettle, AC, TV, cup boards etc. as we generally find in most of the 3-star hotels. The best part of the hotel Tridev is its restaurant, which has very good ambience and the breakfast spread was reasonably good having north Indian as well south Indian dishes. Besides the complimentary breakfast for 2 days, we also took dinner here, since there was no other better restaurant nearby. Kal Bhairav temple is just about 100 meters away in a narrow walkable street adjoining the hotel. Of course the Kashi Vishwanath temple is about 2-3 km away through congested but motorable streets, But for its location, the hotel is good and comfortable with good service. Of course, the rates appear to be on higher side probably due to its location close to temples.

Services and location were great, service from ms Payal really polite and friendly. Food was great at any time of the Day. They are always ready to help you. Easy procces on the check in and check out.

Great dining experience at the restaurant. Very friendly and compassionate staff. Especially Payal and Vishal have been so hospitable and offering food every time it came out hot out off the kitchen. And the food was great as well Loved the experience here

Payal and awadh maam was very helpful and courteous. She assisted one and all from the group . Food was equally good and so was the Receptionist Miss Diksha. Thank You
