Xanthippi Hotel

We booked last minute and had an early check-in. Was very easy with Trip.com. We had a blocked shower drain with our first shower and they moved us to a different room-fast. This was great! We slept well on comfortable bedding. The balcony was comfortable with captain's chairs and a large table. Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, bread and cheese and cold cuts. Eggs and a fresh salad with a meat pie. It was presented on a patio with good shade. The property has an ocean view and actually faces Athens-pretty to see the lights at night. The grounds have a terrace for sunbathing, beautiful rosemary hedges, pomegranate trees and veggie garden spaces-very nicely done. The beach is at the bottom of the hill-not a bad walk-2 minutes. The beach tables/umbrellas were not set up for the hotel as it is officially shoulder season but we pulled down some lounge chairs for our beach time. Make sure if you come here to take the Souvala Ferry as it is walking distance to the property. We arrived at the Aegina Town ferry and rented a car-we wanted one for the trip anyway. Best of all was Debbie-the English version of her Greek name-she was front desk manager and was very welcoming and informative. Her English is good and she is working on it constantly. We will be back to this little Shangri-la hopefully soon.

Just returned from a lovely stay! The staff are soooo lovely, the food is AMAZING especially the fig pizza, the room was clean and the bed is comfy, cleaning staff came everyday to take rubbish and top up loo roll! Air con was spot on! I have no idea why this hotel only has 2 stars I would say its 4 star 100% the only thing missing was a swimming pool! We had our 1 year old little girl with us and the cot provided was sturdy and comfy, staff even changed her bed sheet halfway through our 4 day stay! They also have highchairs which is ideal :) the beach which has reserved beds and umbrellas is a short 3 min walk. P.s make sure you try the pistachio parfait icecream they have, we tried a lot of pistachio icecream in aegina and this hotel had the BEST one in my opinion

Our stay in October (6 nights) was amazing. The hotel is very pleasant in an excellent location with its own parking lot. It is about 2-3 minutes to the sandy beach with reserved hotel umbrellas, 6-7 minutes to the ferry port and taverns by a comfortable walk. The beach is protected, swimming is very good. Along the edges, the beach is lined with rocks, where you can see a lot of fish. The hotel room was very tastefully furnished with fully functional air conditioning (we did not use the ceiling fan). For a 2* hotel, the rooms are very spacious. The kitchen in the room also includes an electric two-plate stove, but it is not functional (there are no cooking utensils in the kitchen). The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We were glad to have chosen this hotel for our stay.
