This beautiful boutique b&b is situated in the Jewish Quarter of Venice and an easy walk from S.L. Train station. We loved everything about our 5 night stay here. The hosts are so friendly and easy to contact. The room was spacious (Rm 10) with a private balcony. The bed was super comfy, in fact I had my best night's sleep in weeks! It was easy to access via a private water taxi or on the public ferry system. Breakfast was small but ample and beautifully presented and fresh each day. I would recommend this place if you are looking for peace & quiet and away from the crazy hoardes of tourist groups. There's a lovely restaurant serving delicious kosher food directly opposite the hotel (Ba Ghetto) and a new pizza bar next door. 10 out of 10 from me!

This lovely ;place is in the historic Campo del Ghetto Nuovo, evoking the history of Jewish contributions and tribulations. The owner/manager couple are welcoming. The rooms are nice. Historic vistas abound. Good restaurants, bakeries and a food store are nearby. We will return

If you want to fell like you’re staying in old Venice, this is the place to stay. Quaint, pleasant atmosphere, clean room overlooking a canal, in room bath, all located in a historical courtyard within short walking distance of what the locals say is the best food in Venice. Fabio (hope I spelled that right) was a great host and provided us with much of the information needed to negotiate our way around a city that is extremely easy to get lost in. Continental breakfast was provided each day.

We have stayed here on every occasion that we have come to Venice in recent years. It is such a lovely, friendly hotel and fantastic location for exploring the Ghetto and the Canneregio area of Venice. Anna and Emiliano always provide a kind and warm welcome and are excellent hosts. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Venice.

This quaint hotel is perfect. It is centrally located within the Jewish Ghetto, near great shopping and the train station. The owners are the nicest people, The breakfasts are yummy and even have kosher food. The rooms are clean and right on the canal. Reasonably priced as well. Will definitely return.

Perfect in every way.. Anna is lovely.. She greeted us like an old friend.. she was the kindest host ever.. I travel a lot and this was the best ever.. Breakfast delicious. A selection of delicious pastries and amazing coffee.. Location great.. Quaint and quiet but very easily accessible.. Wi fi and air conditioning great Rooms lovely.. recently renovated. Very nice size. Beds very comfortable. Reserve early but sold out early. Have already reserved my next stay

The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Piazza Roma where the airport bus stops and perfectly located to get to all areas of Venice by foot or Vaporetta. Anna and Emiliano were perfect hosts, welcoming, advising of local eateries and how to get to key places. Our room was large, overlooking the canal, quiet and clean, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice - fruit juices, cereal, eggs, cheese, fruit, yoghurts and fresh bread and pastries from the local bakery. Coffee was really good and readily topped up. We had a really lovely stay here, made more special by the warm hosts. Would definitely return.

Really lovely hotel, excellent hosts, large, clean room and great breakfast. Hotel was easy to find only being 10 minutes walk from the railway station. Owners were waiting for us on arrival and were as pleasant in person as they had been in our communications ahead of our stay. Owners had excellent local knowledge and were multilingual. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The lobby area was super clean and stylish. The room was bigger than expected and had a view over the square. Air conditioning worked well. Bed was large and comfortable. Toiletries provided, clean towels and lots of warm water for washing. Breakfast was served with excellent cappuccino and was delicious. We were allowed to store our bags at the hotel on the day of departure, which was much appreciated. The water bus to the airport stopped about 2 minutes walk away, and the owner showed us where to get the water bus. If we return to Venice, we will return to Locanda del Ghetto 100%.

This was a pleasant stay. We, 2 adults and a 5-year-old, stayed here for one night. The room was very spacious. Everything was very clean. We were afraid to see bugs since it is Venice and buildings are old; but saw only a couple very little things. Fabio the caretaker of the place was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was satisfactory but we were kind of bummed not to have any fruits that we saw served on the day before. Apparently it was due to the storm. Anyway, the Jewish ghetto is a very nice place to stay. It is away from the crowds and very quiet at night. Local people had good energy. At the same time very close to the train station, which was a huge plus for us. There are many good cafes and restaurants in close proximity as well.

Fabio is a great host, always fun to chat with and was a great help to us. Great location, just head straight to the bridge behind the water fountain and you're on a lovely relaxed calle full of bars and restaurants. We spent evey night here with Bar Da Aldo being our favourite for ombras at 2 euros and cicchetti. Our room had old wooden beams and a big bed. Good breakfast. 10 mins from the train station, 15 from the bus station and just 5 mins from the nearest vaporetto stop. We had to leave early and Fabio arranged breakfast from the local bakery. La locanda del ghetto è un posticino meraviglioso. Defilato dal caos ma vicino a tutto con il vaporetto o con una bella passeggiata. Anna ci ha dispensato consigli preziosi per vivere la Venezia vera, non quella turistica. Buonissima colazione, ottima pulizia. Consigliato!

Cenare nella piazza del Ghetto è stato affascinante. Il locale offre un menù particolare e non scontato, con specialità veneziane e rigorosamente kosher. Il mangiare é stato di qualità, il personale cortese e disponibile. Una bella esperienza.

emplacement incroyable ; l'hotel est geré par un couple ; les chambres sont spacieuse ; propre ; l'hotel n'est pas immense mais nous sommes à Venise et c'est un immeuble qui a son histoire ; attention le coffre fort fonctionne mal ; voir avec la reception bon petit dejeuner

Desideravamo tornare a Venezia da diverso tempo e lo scorso dicembre la nostra vacanza non sarebbe potuta essere più bella. Fabio ci ha accolti e coccolati in ogni modo, raccontandoci aneddoti e storie della vita a Venezia, suggerendo interessanti itinerari e indirizzandoci verso locali tipici. Le camere della Locanda sono spaziose, ben curate, pulite e ben riscaldate, la colazione è ottima, Fabio offre solo prodotti locali e freschi. Consigliamo la Locanda anche per la posizione molto tranquilla, pur essendo a pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione dei treni e dalla fermata dei vaporetti.
