St Maur

Absolutely one of the best guest accommodations we've ever stayed in. The 2nd floor room (room 7) with sea views was large, very clean and had everything you could ask for in a guest bedroom. The breakfasts were outstanding with a vast array of fresh fruit and a comprehensive menu of cooked and non cooked options. Highly recommended.

Lovely small hotel ten minutes walk from Ventnor and seafront. Friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful clean and spacious room with sea view and overlooking lovely gardens. Large comfortable bed. Good quality toiletries in bathroom. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits replenished daily. Fridge in room with fresh milk and bottled water. Plentiful breakfast, including fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, full English breakfast available within price.

Had a fabulous 3 night stay and loved everything about it. The room was spacious, with doors opening onto a balcony with sea views. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was huge and well equipped. We appreciated the fridge in the room with fresh milk and water. The house is set in a beautiful garden with lots of places to sit, but we were too busy walking the coastal path (just 5 mins away). The breakfast was delicious, we loved the fresh fruit salad as well as the choice of cooked breakfasts. David and the team were very welcoming and helpful, we loved hearing the peals of laughter coming out of the kitchen in the mornings! Really looking forward to a return visit.

St. Maur is everything you expect from a good small Victorian hotel. Set in a quiet location, with a almost tropical garden. it has been tastfully modernised and beautifully decorated, retaining the features that set it aside from modern bland hotels. Very friendly staff make you feel at home straight away and the cooked breakfasts are delicious. (You will definitely not start your day hungry).

This is a fine Victorian House with beautiful views which is an excellent Hotel B&B. A most welcoming host , a very large spacious room (number 2) with a huge en suite bathroom, plus a top notch breakfast, all made this a weekend stay worthy of five stars.
