B&B Fablas

Second stay at B&B Fablas and as always everything was perfect. Very clear instructions for the checking and everything worked flawlessly. The rooms were immaculate with everything one needs and breakfast in the morning was very convivial and relaxing. The area is very quiet which a real treat after the buzzing city center. The bus stop is 3 mins down walk the road on Via Mameli and takes you to the center is a heart beat. Milena is the perfect host and we are looking forward to next time.

Fablas B&B is located in a residential building at 3,9km distance of Verona railway station and offers 4 rooms. At walking distance you find bus 22 & 23. The apartment is nicely outfitted and well maintained. The building has an elevator. The lady-owner is friendly and very helpful. Booking a room over the phone turned out to be a difficult exercise. To get the access-code to the apartment, you need a smart-phone and a good web-connection. By email confirming name and credit-card number is insufficient. Besides providing all personal details, you have to transmit a photo of your ID and a photo of yourself. We found making a Fablas reservation an administrative horror. The exercise to get a an access-code took us 20 minutes and 5 calls to get support from the lady-owner. We were glad that she is very helpful and well organised. On arrival you need to call to have the gate opened. As it was midday the door to the building was open. We used the provided access-code to open the door of the apartment. There we found the key of the room in a locked key-box. In the 700+ hotels we stayed in and reviewed on Tripadvisor, we had never seen such a complex procedure. Our room was adequately decorated and furnished, with an OK double-bed. The room had a wardrobe, air-conditioning, desk & chair, TV and tea & coffee facility. We had a separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet, bidet and shower. Walls are thin. Free Wi-Fi Internet. Windows can be opened. All was clean. A good buffet breakfast is served by lady-owner: rolls & toast, ham & cheese, butter & marmalade, croissants & pastries, fruit & juices, cereals, milk & mineral water, tea & coffee made to order. When you like to stay in an adequate and clean B&B, Fablas is the place for you. Recommended.

Stayed there end of March for 2 nights. Great location, quiet neighbourhood = Quality Sleep. We had breakfast prepared by the host in the morning and had a great variety of options to choose from. She was also very helpful and engaging with us, recommending places to eat and visit throughout our stay. We were going to visit Lake Garda and the locations suggested from her were spot on which enhanced even more our experience. Room was very clean and tidy, well equipped and spacious enough. For our next visit we will definitely stick with this B&B.

Great place to stay while visiting Verona! Really quaint, easy check in and great location. Host is amazing and informed us of all the places we should see, had bus tickets to purchase and helped us plan our getaway to Ortisea! It was perfect for us. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Verona.

Wonderful place to stay with lovely rooms, breakfast and hosts (Milena and family members). Very clean in a good neighbourhood with 2 bus stops close by for a quick ride into town. Excellent value and highly recommended. Two precautions ... driving to this location from the Autostrada is difficult without GPS because of the crazy road layout and one-way streets. Secondly, without a working cell phone while travelling (which I do not have) it is very awkward to get entry since the host is not on site or nearby to allow entry. The advanced cell phone access is neat but only if one has an active cell phone. Even the B&B internet could not be accessed from outside the building to let the host know we've arrived via email. Luckily, we got another person to call when we arrived to gain entry but this can be difficult if late at night, etc. Otherwise, enjoy a lovely stay and hospitality.
