Royal Hotel Versailles

Located an easy walk from the Palace, this was an excellent choice for an overnight. The staff was thoughtful and considerate. The room was large and very clean. We were directed to parking nearby which was very helpful. We did not have breakfast as we needed to get on the road, but picked up something nearby. Great value for the money!

It was obvious that Sylvie and Philippe take great pride in their hotel. They were very helpful. Street parking available. Great bakery next door.

A warm and gentle welkom, very nice breakfast and de hosts collaborating to find a solution to stay another night. The bed could be a little better and also the cleaning of the first bathroom, but the second room was much better. The breakfast is very good and served personally. Location is nearby the palace en quality - prive is oke. We enjoyed our stay during the paralympics!

Awful hotel with the reviews manipulated by owner to only show good ones, we had a so called studio room which consisted of two small saucepans and a small bent frying pan there's was one dinner plate a chipped mug and a small glass mug , the fridge is noisy and rusty the sink taps are loose and have to be held to turn on , the kettle is a small travel one that took 15 minutes to boil . There are no cooking utensils or can opener and the counter top is just hanging there. The bathroom sink has a hole in it and leaks there are tiles missing of the wall . The bed frame is very loose and the mattress has had it and very uncomfortable, the skirting board is made up of the off cuts from the bathroom ceiling and everything is half painted but done years ago . You will also notice all his reviews are unverified unlike mine . The TV volume has been set to low to hear . When I complained to the owner about the terrible rooms he was shocked and I think he believes they are great he said we are all ways fully booked and that's because you can't find a bad review as he has manipulate them by sending you an email after you leave the hotel thinking its from a review site but it's his own review site and publishes only the good ones , I spoke to several other guests who also said it was terrible. The pictures of the rooms do not reflect what you get .

Room was very spacious and clean ! within walking distance to the metro Versailles and steps from the metro. Breakfast was served downstairs in the morning and was great ! It had everything we needed for our stay ! We will definitely be back next time we are in town ! Recommend this hotel for anyone looking for convenience with a very friendly staff ! Sylvie and Phillippe were wonderful hosts !

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Very helpful when we needed information and locations etc. And always smiled when we asked (daily) for items we needed. Thank you.

Really friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Aircon in the room, plug near the bed. Very near transport links, multiple mtreo lines and RER. Would deffo stay again

A 3 star hotel at a 2 star price. Clean comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff. Close to the train station and RER. Quiet room overlooking a side street. Solid breakfast with a number of choices. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Versailles.

15/20 minute walk from Chantiers station and conveniently located for the centre and the Palace. Rooms were clean if a little old fashioned…bed was really low down to the floor! Kettle in room but not even a single teabag to be found. Shutters on windows would have been helpful as our room was really close to opposite house. Our shower was fine but our friends had problems with theirs - wouldn’t stay in position and leaky. It was fairly quiet though. Overall ok but pricey for what is a two star stay…guess that’s Versailles priced.
