We spent three evenings at this lovely resort. Our room was beautiful- rustic charm with all the modern amenities. The staff were all wonderful, kind and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed having dinner at the resort - the chef is amazing! Thank you for a wonderful stay as we toured Bologna, Modena and Parma.

The resort is a bit off the main roads in Emilia-Romagna at 8Km from Reggio nell' Emilia. It is a small-sized full service resort and spa with a rather small outside pool with enough seats for everyone to sit comfortably. The staff is really super, congratulations to the entire team! Breakfast is rather basic but nice. A very good address to stay for a few nights and to visit the area, Modena and Parma.

We visited Borgo Cadonega with friends for a couple of nights and were absolutely blown away by this place. Service was second to none and the grounds were beautiful and well kept. We had the pleasure to meet the owner Moro who took very good care of us and made our experience even more special. Frederica in the spa & Relais provided us with very amazing service and a magical spa experience. From check in to check out we cannot thank them enough for this amazing stay.

My wife and I stay here on our drive from Lake Como to Florence. The room was spacious and nicely updated. The on site spa is extremely well equipped and perfect after a long day in the car. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant and a great breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend staying here. Best value we found on our entire trip.

Highly recommend, beautiful medieval castle transformed into a hotel maintaining the essence. Great service, good food, nice spa. We stayed at “La piccionaia” room, that was spacious and very confortable. Full Breakfast is included as well as the SPA circuit which we really enjoyed.

The Borgo Cadonega is a standout property at every level. The attention to detail that was taken to create this oasis - incorporating original elements and blending modern conveniences is impressive. The grounds are perfectly manicured and Mauro and all of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed an excellent dinner one night as well and breakfast was good as well. We took advantage of the beautiful, clean spa baths as well. A truly great place to relax. We day tripped to Modena, Parma, and Maranello - all with a driver - otherwise you would need a car. We would highly recommend a stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a charming and relaxing visit. The room was impeccably clean, great bed and linens. The free spa was beyond expectations; it included a Hammam steam bath, a Finnish sauna, and a huge whirlpool bath. Best of all was the advice from Mauro on visiting the local Parmesan factory cooperative and a family run Balsamic Vinegar operation for a degustation. Do not miss a peek in the next door Ancient flour mill, which produces artisanal local flour. Also a peek in the old chapel at the Borgo. We will return, and thank you to Mruro and staff.

Beautiful Spa Resort. Wonderful staff, impeccable grounds, great location. Spa treatments top notch...Frederica was excellent. I wish I could remember all the names of the staff as the all deserve to be recognized. The chef, Valentina and Mauro the GM exemplify outstanding service. I am a true animal lover and the fact that they treated the stray cats on the property with compassion and kindness impressed me greatly. I would go back in a heartbeat.

A lovely place to stay. Charming medieval beautifully restored building; great extensive grounds and a spa as well. Very well appointed rooms and supercomfy bed. Friendly and helpful staff. A decent dinner and good breakfast
