Hotel Sina Astor recensioner

We booked a familly room, with mention annex, but with no description of what annex means. First of all, annex is not connected to the hotel at all, is a different building. The acces to the rooms is made on a circular staircase, about 1 meter wide, so 2 people cannot go in the same time. There is no lift / elevator, so going with luggage is a bit troublefull, but here the staff helped us. Also, all the hotel facilities are in the main building, so for breakfast, swimming pool...etc, you must exit the annex..go into the main building and find your way. We got caught by a rain, and we arrived at breakfast wet. Finally, the room has no balconny, so no posibility to dry the swimming shorts and towels.

Very nice hotel, people at the reception are always smiling, ready to help. The rooms are clean, every day came a cleaning ladies and made sure, if we need something. Hotel with a very good food, especially breakfast where very willing and nice guy Kleidi took very good care of us, advised which trip to make, always helped with advisory with a local food, travelling and took good care of us , made sure, that we have everything what we need at the breakfast. It all made very pleasant stay. And they all in the hotel are friendly with dogs. I would love to come back again.

We stayed from 13th - 21st Oct as a family of 5 with adjoining rooms. Rooms were spacious, beds comfy and spotless. The whole hotel was spotless. The amenities in the hotel are excellent. We had breakfast included. A great selection on offer for both adults and kids. Great use of the indoor pool, jacuzzi and steam room. A shower cap is required for the indoor pool which is €4 each. I also had a facial at the Wellness which was brilliant. The staff 100% 1st class. BA cancelled our flight home and the hotel could not do enough to help. They help speak to our car hire firm to keep the car and navigated the language barrier. Viareggio is beautiful with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel is a very short walk to the beach. The staff helped us with touring around Tuscany and helped us book trains, parking etc. very informative and help us plan our visits. 100% recommend for both families and couples.

The hotel was our second stop in Italy and was in the perfect location and well appointed. We had a sea facing balcony room which was a decent size with a modern bathroom. The balcony was lovely to sit on and watch the sunsets and also listen to the music at a restaurant on the Friday evening. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was good with lots of choice. The restaurant is more like a canteen (there are many restaurants opposite the hotel) and the lounge areas are open so not somewhere that we felt like sitting in. However the gym is very good and the pool is lovely and a definite bonus. We were given passes to a beach club opposite the hotel which was surprisingly enjoyable as the impression given from the rows of loungers is not one that I thought would be relaxing but it was! Towels are provided each day to take to the beach by the hotel. The train station is a 25 minute walk and on our return walk we came through the large park, which is behind the hotel, which was lovely. Finally the ladies on reception are very helpful. Martina particularly gave us help with train times and advice on where to find things. The Sina Astor provides everything you need to a good standard and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

We loved our stay at this hotel, the room was lovely, clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable! The breakfasts were lovely, I can highly recommend the freshly baked custard buns. The beach was stunning, and the promenade a pleasure to walk, with a safe route for pedestrians, with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. The location was great for getting around the resort and travelling wider in Tuscany, eg. Florence, Pisa, lucca and cinque terre. The train station is about 20 mins walk or 5 mins drive from the hotel. We made good use of the trains to tour around which are cheap, clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel were very attentive and helpful. Special mention must be made of Nadir, who helped us plan days out, printed off train timetables and made up breakfast bags for our early departure on our last day. Highly recommended.

A lovely stylish hotel. The room was a good size (room 226) and so was the bathroom. I would have preferred a balcony but none was available at the time of booking. The hotel is in a good location with the beach across the road and lots of bars, shops and restaurants on the same side as the sandy beach. We had dinner in the hotel 3 times and the food was very good. We also got vouchers for the beach for the week and this consisted of 3 chairs, table, lounger and umbrella. It was nice to have the same spot on the beach for the week so no hunting for a space every day. I would have preferred more outside space at the hotel and found it odd that the bar did not open until 3pm which we found very strange - especially as one day the rain was torrential and we would have like a snack/drink at the hotel. But on the whole a very nice stay.

I just returned from a wonderful week at this hotel. It was our first time to Viareggio and definitely won't be our last. The front desk staff were all polite, friendly, and helpful. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Nadir, who arranged our seamless transfers to and from Pisa airport! Our room (128) was impeccably clean and comfortable. We had a Seaview room with a large balcony, where we spent many hours enjoying breath-taking sunsets while listening to the live music from the bars across the road. Breakfast was a delightful and relaxing experience, complete with attentive staff and soft music in the background. Although we were a bit disappointed that the weather didn't allow us to sit on the outside terrace, we enjoyed a window table overlooking the sea most days, so it wasn’t a total loss! The buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, including scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon, along with a selection of continental meats and cheeses paired with fresh bread. There was also fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, jams, honey, pancakes, and pastries. If that wasn’t enough, you could order omelettes, eggs, and porridge made to order. We found the buffet to be more than sufficient, so we didn’t feel the need to order anything extra. It was great that there wasn't an overwhelming amount available at once. The staff ensured that everything was restocked promptly, keeping it fresh and preventing items from sitting around for too long. We didn't get round to using the spa and swimming facilities this visit, but since it was included in our room rate, perhaps next time! The hotel’s location was ideal, surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants. We had access to the beach club across the way, with a special rate for Astor guests—just 19 euros for two deck chairs and an umbrella on a beautiful sandy beach. The bus station was a 20-minute walk away, and the train station was about 20 to 25 minutes on foot, both of which were easy to locate and use.

This hotel has nice and quiet atmosphere. I felt like I was at home. I booked room Mediterranean Deluxe Panoramic View. The view from my balcony was amazing. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

This is a 3 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star. We had a sea-view room that was tired and not clean. Both blankets provided in the cupboards were dirty. The bathroom door and doorframe were beaten up and chipped and the room needed paint around many of the baseboards and doorframes, at a minimum. The included breakfast was mediocre - the scrambled eggs were very wet and soupy and an ordered omelette was undercooked with raw egg. Only one form of cheese was available other than cream cheese while there was lots of sweets, pastries etc. While the staff were pleasant, and its a good location, it was an overall mediocre experience.

Room was ok but the furniture was old and a bad smell was in the room.We booked 2 regular rooms and both of them were same.position its perfect close to the beach.We made an upgrade to superior room with sea view and its way better.Good hotel but choose superior rooms

We had a wonderful stay at the Sina Astor hotel. The staff were so helpful in particular Abele who provides a five star service. Martina Nadir and Angela also couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The pool gave us a welcome respite from the heat of the beach every afternoon. We all enjoyed a copious breakfast every morning and dinner at the hotel absolutely did justice to the high quality ingredients We will be returning to this beautiful and charming hotel.

Lovely hotel. Fantastic breakfasts, beautiful clean swimming pool. Thoroughly delicious evening meals, beautifully cooked fish and pasta. The staff were all lovely, pleasant and helpful. So nice to sit on the terrace to eat breakfast and evening meals.

We booked 2 rooms as a family, both rooms were spacious and had lovely sea views as booked. Our room Versilla superior sea view had an old bathroom with the shower over a bath with the screen over one side - this was shocking enough for the price of the room and we should have asked to move straight away!, and it was leaking water to the floor from the corner joint, no matter how we turned the shower head when washing. So after each shower we ended up with a large pull of water in the middle of our bathroom, we had to kneel down and dry the flood with towels. THIS WAS VERY GROSS FOR A 4 STAR HOTEL!! We decided not to ask to move the room because we wanted to be on the same floor as our daughter. On check out we explained our shower experience to the reception, and asked for a discount, our room was much more expensive than our daughter's, which had a good renovated bathroom. Receptionist had spoken to the manager about this, who dismissed our 'not-4star' experience, and we were denied a discount. This was very disappointing and completely overshadowed our otherwise enjoyable stay. So I am writing this review to make other people aware of what's going on in the bathrooms in this hotel - demand a good renovated bathroom on check in if you don't want to be paying for the privilege of drying floods on your knees!

Very Hospitable hotel. Wanted to mention the name of one special person: Klejdy. What a gentlemen!!! Always attentive, ready to help and always by your side when you need something. Speaks multiple languages which makes more valuable as an employee!! People like him brighten your day!
