Ibis Styles Vichy Centre

We spent a night in Vichy on our way to UK. The location of the hotel is amazing unfortunately it is not what we were expecting cleaning wise. The room was cleanish. The high level and behind the curtains haven’t been clean for some time as at least a dozen of spiders have made home there. My wife and my kid were terrified as they were crawling on the curtains. Went to the reception and even after hours the receptionist was brilliant and apologetic. He offered us another room but unfortunately was the same like the previous. The mattresses and sheets were stained. My wife couldn’t rest at all. The breakfast was good and the staff seemed nice. The price was a bit too much for what we got, we could have gone to a normal Ibis or a budget one for less money. Next time I won’t choose Ibis Syles again as they don’t represent the Ibis family right.

Good points - location and car park. Bad points - several (see below) Key card; key cards have the room number clearly displayed on them rendering room anonymity pointless. Crazy. Maintenance; bathroom latch in our room was broken and obviously had been for some time. It was impossible to close the door securely. Housekeeping; poor. Towels were changed on a daily basis but the bed was not straightened. I don’t expect clean bedding everyday but the bed should be made and tidied up. Our room was very dusty and the carpet unvacuumed. Corridors were dingy and dusty. Overall, the hotel is grubby and due for refurbishment. Breakfast; a limited range of cheap, low-quality food. And not much of it. Guests arriving after 09:00 are likely to find some items unavailable. Staff; mixed. Mostly polite and friendly but a young woman member of staff on duty at breakfast needs some customer service training. She is surly and offhand. I expect to receive the standard ‘thanks for drawing this to our attention and we’ll strive to improve’ response. It’s not good enough. As well as this review I’ve submitted a full complaint to Accor.

Je n'ai pas regardé les commentaires avant de partir et bien mal m'en a pris. Parking et accueil rien à dire 10/10. La chambre .....De taille ridicule. Une des tablettes de lit manquante. Le plafond qui s'effrite. La douche , plus petit ce n'est pas possible. Pour entrer dedans il ne faut pas être trop bien portant sinon ça frotte de tout côtes. La fenêtre dans la douche avec des moisissures. Une affiche qui annonce des serviettes supplémentaires sur l'étagère ..... ou pas ! Un seul oreiller supplémentaire pour 2 personnes. Une autre affiche annonçant que la bouteille d'eau traditionnelle n'est plus la par respect pour la planète (mais en vente à 3.50 € en bas). Et dans l'ascenseur une autre affiche expliquant comment avoir de l'eau chaude dans la douche en laissant couler quelques temps l'eau chaude dans le lavabo .... merci pour la planète !

Parking complet a mon arrive, obligé de laisser la voiture dans la rue. Pas de veilleur de nuit. Accès après 22h par une porte latérale. Hôtel vieillot et plutôt petit. Chambre très petite et peu fonctionnelle car petit bureau et peu d espace avec salle de bain riquiqui mais propre. Rue moyennement calme surtout le matin car les insonorisants sont moyens. Hôtel bien placé pas loin du centre ville . Mériterait une bonne rénovation. Je n' ai pas retrouvé complètement le concept d' un ibis style comme dans d autres hôtels de la même chaine.

salle de bain un peu viellotte.... salle du petit déjeuner manque de chaleur pour le reste c est bien meme si l 'hotel n a pas de restaurant proprement dit celui avec accès direct est très bien un peu décu par rapport à d autres ibis style déjà fréquentés...

Hôtel sale, vétuste et mal entretenu, chambre petite et malaisante, nombreux vices cachés et disfonctionnements, très bruyant, eau qui ruisselle des plafonds et bords de fenêtres, personnel de ménage incompétent, responsable malhonnête qui ne reconnaît rien et ne tient pas ses engagements... j'ai du fuir : n'y allez pas !
