Courtyard Vicksburg

I read reviews for many hotels in Vicksburg and opted for the Courtyard thinking it would be a gamble based on some things I read. Let me tell you, this place is a good choice. Patty at the front is a gem, so kind! Hotel was nice, clean lobby and room, beds are something we check before getting too comfortable and we saw no random hairs, stains, or crumbs. The bathroom was clean, beds comfortable, and overall a quiet stay although I know we were certainly not alone here based on cars in the parking lot and kids in the pool. If we find ourselves in Vicksburg again we’ll return to the Courtyard.

I’ve stayed at this property once a year for the past 5-7 years. I can’t say it’s changed much in that time. The property is clean and up to date. I’ve stayed elsewhere in Vicksburg too. The Courtyard is among the best there. I wish it had free breakfast, but that’s not a thing at Courtyards.

This is the best Courtyard I've stayed at in recent months. It is very well maintained, the Bistro is open on time at advertised hours. The public areas and the rooms are very well maintained. My bathroom was spotless. I've stayed at many Courtyards recently and they all seem to need freshening and better service. Not this property. One minor complaint: they only service rooms once every three days, I prefer every night, but can live with every other, Three is a bit long.

This property is dated — and needs a refresh - our room was musty and the aged air conditioner did not help -staff was friendly but could not make up for condition of property. Numerous newer hotels are located nearby at similar price point. Location is good - located between interstate and town.

I stayed here 28 APR 24 and 29 APR 24. These were two seperate reservations. The firts day I asked to change rooms because of a lack of hot water; hotel staff was unpleased but acommodated me. I rebooked again as the hotel wasn't terrible. I asked if I could stay two additional nights at the same military rate. Hotel staff stated their manager said no to the same rate. I looked online and the military rate was still available. Rather than taking that, I booked the Hampton in Vicksburg at the military rate. Hampton Vicksburg has an evening reception with Free beer, wine, and snacks. Hampton was much more cordial. I'm a Platimun at Marriott and never received a room upgrade which is obligated with Platinum status. I would have hit Titanium status next week, but chose to go to Hilton (Hampton) rather than staying as an unwelcome guest at Courtyard. Go to Hampton when in Vicksburg!

The hotel location is good and seemed very safe. It is located a mile from the National Military Park. The room was clean but very small. It was smaller than other Courtyard properties I have stayed. The bathroom floor was cleaned with a very shiny oil type cleanser that showed every print from the soles of your shoe. What I really disliked was the bathtub. It was very slick and dangerous. I asked the front desk if they had bath mats. They did not, so I bought one. I read in other reviews that people had the same concern about the unsafe bathtub. The other problem I had at this property was the customer service. As I was being checked in, a manager interrupted the young lady helping me. She told her to check in another guest. Seemed this woman was more important because she was considering this property for a conference/meeting. This was not the only incident. The front desk staff were not welcoming. Overall, it is a nice property. I travel extensively, and Marriott is my hotel of choice.

Hotel was easy to access. Excellent service from the front desk clerk and in the Bistro. Breakfast was also good. Clean and comfortable hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Would definitely stay here again if traveling to Vicksburg, MS.

Clean and well kept hotel. Front desk agent was friendly and efficient. Melody in the Bistro area had top notch service and was the epitome of hospitality! Great stay, thank you all. Conveniently located and will stay here if Vicksburg is part of future travel plans.

Perfect location right off the interstate easy on and off. Check-in staff each are very professional particularly I think her name is Allison each time she's very helpful and goes out of her way to help .. Parking lot is huge and of lighting and food and had close by..
