Loved this holiday. We stayed in a studio room with pool view for 10 nights self catering. There was everything you could possibly need including fridge freezer, 2 rings, microwave. All pots, pans, utensils, cutlery & crockery etc. washing up liquid & tea-towels also provided. Free safe. Air con good. The staff on reception & in the restaurant were the loveliest, most friendly staff ever. Ate in the restaurant on an evening most nights & the meals were fresh, tasty & plentiful. No problem getting a bed by the pool most days but it wasn’t a problem anyway because every single room had 2 beds provided on their large balcony. We didn’t mind using these on a few busy days because we didn’t have children with us. Lovely & peaceful around the pools, no need for entertainment or music. 5 or 6 minute walk to the Spar ( use the side gate for leaving & returning to complex, it saves a few minutes) the beautiful marina is between 15 / 20 minutes walk depending on your mobility. Already booked for next year we enjoyed it that much.

Recently spent 9 days here. Our first visit to the area. Check in was prompt - the reception block is separate to the accommodation blocks. My first impression was it was quite dated. We paid upfront & got our key card & local map. We were in Block 23. Upon entering the apartment, we were met with a very unpleasant musty smell. The apartment was spacious, the bedroom dark, a spacious kitchen & living area with patio doors leading to the garden patio area which had a table & chairs along with 2 sun loungers. The kitchen was well equipped with a good sized fridge/freezer. Hairdryer, iron, ironing board, clothes horse all supplied. Immediately opened the doors to let some fresh air into the apartment. We unpacked our luggage. There was ample storage with sliderobe & hangers, shelves & drawers. The apartments are made of concrete & sound echoes so noise from upstairs neighbors was quite loud, moving furniture & tv sound. There are no black out blinds/curtains but there are sliding, metal doors on patio( we didn’t realise these moved until we heard the neighbors pull theirs on the second day(we thought just the design, might be worth mentioning to people on check in) Free WiFi in the apartment was reasonably good. The pool was approx 3 min walk from our apt through the gardens. We didn’t have any issue getting sun beds or brollys for the duration of our stay but as usual those going to breakfast, put out towels & didn’t use them for hours. There was no life guard on duty which we thought unusual considering the depths of the pool. The pool area was kept clean with regular cleaning/sweeping but the pool itself wasn’t throughly cleaned. There was a pool table(paid) & table tennis table(free- paddles kept at bar) this is the extent of entertainment by the pool! No music, no pool games, nothing. It’s very quiet! There is also a small football/basketball court to the front of complex at reception for kids to play. The pool bar/restaurant is nice. Latte €3, Beer €6. Expensive for pool bar. (We didn’t eat here) We stayed at main pool for the duration of our time as our son like to play table tennis/pool & he made friends there too. The accommodation is set in a residential area so the nearest shop (Spar) is 8 mins walk away in quite a run down square, there is a fresh bakery section at the back & a good selection of fruit/meat etc.. There is a local bar in that area too (Amsterdam Bar, which have a small menu, handy for lunch) there is also a Thai restaurant & Dominos pizza. The Marina is 25 mins walk away (& may feel longer in hot temperatures) the nearest beach is also 25 mins away which for us was too far! We ate in Rosa’s Cantina (Mexican) which is approx 15 mins away & had a drink with Antonio & Maria the owners of Link & Drinks Bar, a nice bar where locals go & they showed the football matches too. The area has no entertainment. Live music/ karaoke is available down by the harbour in the larger pubs but wasn’t really to our taste. We

Had a 10 night stay here with family in two pool view studio. Rooms were a really good size and facilities were really good. Not far from the restaurant near spa and to walk to the marina. This was our third visit here we will definitely be coming back again.

Clean apartments, the cleaning lady came each day and changed towels and cleaned our apartment. Toilet roll, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were given complementary. Lovely staff. 15-20mins walk to the Marina , 10-15 mins walk to the Spar shop. Would definitely return.

Back from 6 days in a spacious studio ground floor apartment. Apartment had its own patio with 2 sunloungers & table & chairs, Overlooking a large pool. For a studio is was so spacious, large fitted kitchen with all utensils. No oven. Large fridge & a microwave. Loads of wardrobe space. However low shower pressure. It is dated looking, but spotlessly cleaned. Maids came in every day, made beds, mopped floors, emptied bins etc. Wi fi excellent. Free room safe. Excellent quiet air-con or heater if chilly. No problem getting sunloungers around the quiet pool, however some of them broken & seen better days, need replacing. 15 min walk to marina downhill. 4.50 euros uber back. Lovely restaurant on site, did best ham & cheese omelette & chips. This complex is set in gorgeous gardens, only downside is it's walkways are little mosaic type tiles & not very wide, many of which are broken or uneven, so a trip hazard if mobility issues or have a wheelchair, whole complex is very dimly lit at night, so need to be cautious where walking. Overall this is a great complex & will definitely be returning.

Just back after 5 nights in Pinhal Da Marina. Really liked these apartments. We had a studio with pool view. Liked the sun loungers on the balcony so then you could either stay in balcony or go to the pool for your sun bathing. No fault atall with apartment. Clean and spacious. The studio was quite spacious. We did not eat in the restaurant just had a drink there in the evening and it was nice. Lady at reception on our check in was very pleasant and helpful. It is about 8 to 10 mins walk to Marina. Bit of a climb on the way up but nothing major, we did it twice and 3 times a day everyday!!! I would recommend these apartments and we hope to return next year.

Nice hotel with a good location. Rooms were really big with everything you need. Pool area was nice and clean. The playground and playhouse were good activities for my 3 year old daughter. Less than 5 euros in a taxi to get to the marina or Quarteira. Staff were really nice and knowledgeable.

A lovely little village type setting. Gated. Very safe. We arrived by car, parking is free and could park as close to out apartment as possible. We had a 1 bed apartment, top floor of 2 stories, overlooking the bigger pool. Fabulous. Room was spacious and absolutely spotless. Sunbeds on the huge balcony. All staff were friendly and helpful. Family of 4 so we had 2 single beds in bedroom and a sofa bed with roll out bed under it. Awful and just to confuse us there was a staircase in the room that led upstairs to a door to nothing. Odd but didn't bother us. We found the bar/cafe on site reasonably priced. Pools were lovely. Never struggled for a sun bed, always some empty. There is a little library and lots of info about the area in reception. Now, the reason for 3 stars. We had a family of 4 in the apartment next to us. Woke us up about 2am 1 morning, screaming, shouting, slamming doors, sounded like furniture thrown about and definitely glass smashed. Went on for about 30 mins. We attempted to ring the 3 x emergency numbers provided but no answer and could not get through. My children were petrified. I woke next morning to go speak reception and noticed several blood stains down the shared, white washed wall staircase. Awful. Informed reception of incident. They advised me they had been told of an incident occurring in the night and someone was injured by a gate. Most probably a lie as we definitely heard glass smashing, and the refused entry to the cleaner. I advised of the blood marks on the wall. They were still there over 24 hours later when we left! Aware the disrespectful guests should not cause the lower marking for the resort but the way it was handled was extremely poor! I also spoke to the family in the apartment below, who too heard all same nosies and tried to report.

I just want to say we had the best time . Thank you to all the staff ,from the cleaners to the reception staff . Big shout out to Dora on reception she put up with all my questions before and after I arrived. Lovely quiet location, 15 mins walk to the marina . My 5th time visiting and will be booking for next year . Thank you all so much ❤️
