Dandelion Como Suites & Park

This place is absolutely incredible. The staff are so so nice and so accommodating we ended up extending our stay for 5 days because we loved it so much there. It’s an old estate so it’s beautiful and I have the best gnocchi I’ve ever had in my life at their restaurant. I think this is my favourite hotel ever. Highly highly recommend this place if you need somewhere in the como region

Spectacular old villa turned B&B. Soul of a country estate with fresh modern updates. Best gnocchi ever! Locally sourced food and drink specialties. Perfect venue for special event. Charming hosts, staff, bar & restaurant. Style & comfort ++++ I will be back to stay.

Wow!!! What a lucky find. It was by chance I found this gem. As an owner of holiday accommodation in Italy I always think I do everything better but they have hit the mark here in every way. The design and setting are sophisticated and elegant, grown up. It is refined; from the rooms to the bar. The buildings are enveloped in mature parkland that just relaxes the soul. The food was 5 star and staf super friendly. I liked it so much I said that if they ever decide to sell to contact me.

We just spent 3 lovely days at the Dandelion. The hotel is located in a small town Villa Guardia, only 15 minutes away from Como. The hotel is an old family farmhouse/residence that has been remodeled and provides severals spacious rooms, appartments and suites. We stayed at a Deluxe Villa, which was simple but beautifully decorated. The room is spacious with a Queen-size bed and a relatively large sofa (I think it can be converted into another bed). The bathroom with a rainfall shower is equipped with all relevant and necessary items. Overall, the building is beautiful and provides an oasis of tranquility and peace of mind - the park-like backyard invites to just sit in a lounger and to dose of in the sun. The true highlight of the hotel though is the culinary experience. Breakfast is served at the Arabella restaurant, where dinner is served as well. Every little detail was perfect. From cutlery to the china coffee set - one eats with style. Luckily, the breakfast buffet refrains from offering a lot, but high qualitative and local products. The different coffee types (from Espresso to Latte Machiato) were among the best we had in Italy so far. But the best was Eleonora, who made this is a very personal experience - thanks to her service and help with our baby girl we could relax and enjoy. The dinner experience is great likewise. A very nice and elaborate monthly menu plus a daily menu - everything we had was delicious, and reasonably priced. We will certainly be back as the other staff, Federica and Matteo welcomed us with a smile and were helpful anytime. The other staff, whose names I did not ask for, we very nice and supportive as well. We only hope that next time, the mattress will be less hard (for my wife who is quite small, this was not so comfy, but with the help of the staff we found a good solution). Another thing I was not too happy about was the strong price volatility. I understand that the demand often makes the price, but when I was booking I had observed a price difference of around 50 € up and down per day within a very short time. Finally, we love to travel to the Como area and believe of having found our "base to stay" in the Dandelion.

Unfortunately our stay at Dandelion Suites was not like we expected. We arrived at Dandelion late in the afternoon after a long day of travelling by car. We checked in to a very nice and spacious appartment. The receptionisted asked if we would have dinner at the restaurant and we agreed. Around 20 o'clock we went to the terrace to have dinner. The waitress told us that there was no reservation. The receptionist told her that we just arrived and would like to have dinner. We were seated at a table but she refused to serve us. After waiting for 20-30 minutes, we asked her several times if we could order a drink but she refused. It was not very busy at that moment. Only three other tables were occupied. We went to the receptionist and he tried to solve things but it didn't work out. Very tired and disappointed we went to another restaurant to have dinner. Our evening was ruined. It was a very disappointing experience. I booked at Dandelion Suites because of the good reviews and the excellent restaurant but we couldn't experience that. During our stay (2 nights) we saw the waitress again at breakfast but no excuses have been made.

Pretty hotel with clean and very unique rooms. Little restaurant offers good breakfast and food for dinner. Staff is very friendly. Convenient location close to highway, to Como and to golfcourses nearby. Would definitely stay there again.
