Although we couldn't find many reviews of the apartments before we arrived (presumably because they are new), we were more than pleased with our stay at Gluck Patagonia. The apartments are much bigger than they look in the photos with a decent sized kitchen (including a fridge, oven etc, but no washing machine), a dining table & a small sofa. There is also little balcony which we didn't use as it was in the shade, but would imagine it would be a nice place to enjoy a drink in the morning or evening. The bedroom itself was large, with plenty of storage space & the bathroom was also a decent size. The apartments are modern & nicely decorated and we thought very good value. Just one thing to note is that there is no AC in the apartments, but a large floor standing fan is available in the room if it's too warm (we were fine without it though even in peak summer). There is free (& fast) Wifi in the room & throughout the property, which also has a lounge area & pool. We weren't aware of the pool at the time of booking, but it was certainly a nice bonus to be able to come back & sit around at the end of a day exploring the beautiful surroundings. Only one thing to be aware of is that the pool is pretty much totally in the shade by the late afternoon, but it's not the apartment's fault of course & it's still a nice area to relax. Although the apartments don't include breakfast in house, there is a cafe attached next door that serves tortillas (omelettes), all sorts of eggs, pastries, cakes & good coffee at reasonable prices. There is also free parking on the road outside, which was also a nice bonus. The ladies on reception were very friendly, a couple of which spoke English which was handy as our Spanish is very bad. Villa La Angostura itself is a nice little town (much nicer than Bariloche in our opinion) in beautiful surroundings. It is worth the drive from Bariloche just for the scenery alone, but of course is also the start of the stunning Seven Lakes drive & there is lots to do in the vicinity. There are some lovely cafes & restaurants in the town & the apartments are located very close to the main street, which is very convenient. One slight thing to note is that there can be some traffic noise late at night, but of course that isn't the hotel's fault either & we were there in peak season so the town was probably at it's busiest. You can cycle or drive down to the pier just out of town to take the boat to the Arrayanes Forest, which is very scenic & the boat stops at a little beach where you can swim or relax if you wish, on the way back. You can also walk the 10KM back through the forest if you are feeling energetic. All in all we loved our stay in Villa La Angostura & the Gluck Apartments were the perfect place to stay. We would certainly love to return one day!
