Swapnagandha/ Wildernest were in my bucketlist for 10+ years, but what a disaster it was Pathetic Exp - We had booked for two nights, and checked out withing 1 day, We wanted to leave within the first 2 hours but were too tired to drive back to Goa, so stayed overnight. Amazing location, The property would have been outstanding when it was made, but its crumbling due to lack of maintenance and lack of care. Food was great, so was the staff, it's good to see that they have mainly female staff. Now the bad , The rooms were horrific. Wrongly priced and positioned as a premium resort, should be 3-4K per night. Bed Linen was stinking, quality of linen was as bad as what railways give in 3AC. Mattress was real bad quality , gave both of us had a backache. Room was really really average, what you would find in a 2/3 star property of a tier 3 city in India. It was poorly maintained, water leakage, switches not working, flickering lights, the list is endless. I was horrified to see the quality of curtains. Good balcony view but no seating arrangement in the balcony, which was funny. Lizards and tons of insects in the room, mold and fungus all around. The excuse is that in the western ghats with so much rains its not possible to maintain the rooms, which is not true, there are 100s of hotels in Kerela with similar weather conditions who maintain their property really well.
