Tucked away in the charming old town of Vis, this boutique hotel perfectly blends authentic Dalmatian charm with modern comfort and warm, personalized service. The hotel itself is beautifully restored, with stone walls, tasteful decor, and serene courtyards that immediately transport you into vacation mode. Our room was spotless and elegantly furnished, with plush bedding, air conditioning, and a lovely view over the terracotta rooftops. The attention to detail was outstanding—everything from the welcome drink to the locally sourced toiletries felt thoughtfully curated. What really sets San Giorgio apart, though, is the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering restaurant tips, helping us book excursions, and even sharing stories about the island's rich history. You can tell this is a place run with heart. Breakfasts were a daily highlight—fresh fruit, homemade pastries, eggs cooked to order, and excellent coffee, all enjoyed on the peaceful garden terrace. And the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the waterfront, local restaurants, and the ferry terminal, yet blissfully quiet at night. If you're looking for a tranquil, refined, and truly authentic Croatian island experience, San Giorgio Hotel is it. We can’t wait to return.

The stay in the hotel was a mixture of good and poor experiences. The location is in the centre of town in the renowned old stone house, which is great. And that’s about it when talking about good stuff. If you come by car there is no reserved parking or paid public parking. You are happy if you park at the wild parking a couple of hundred meters away. The breakfast is really poor. Selection of salami is the cheapest you can find in the local supermarket. The owner is preparing eggs which is okay. The bed in our room was poor. The owner is polite and helpful in giving advice about the Island.

Popped in for dinner to escape the football which was being shown in almost every other bar and restaurant on Vis. I had a delightful meal, very reasonably priced in a lovely little courtyard. Sadly no view, but the setting of the restaurant is actually quite lovely. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Lovely food too!
