Borgo Pignano Tuscany

From start to finish, this hotel offers white glove service while making you feel right at home on their beautiful and historic resort. The hotel covers the size of 400 football fields and is as undeveloped as it is lush and vibrant. The rooms were charming and stocked to offer a comfortable and memorable experience. Though we only stayed one night, we wished we had cancelled our trip to Cinque Terre and Florence and just stayed longer. The views are so picturesque and make you feel like you’re in a fairytale. Even their restaurant is top tier, offering a Michelin experience and top notch dining. The additional complimentary dishes were surprising and equally tasty. The service, again, unmatched. Will visit again very soon!

Our new favorite place in Tuscany! Beautiful grounds and delicious food. A highlight for our family was the farm tour with Gigi! We enjoyed dinner at their green Michelin star restaurant and the medieval dining room. Our only regret was we didn’t stay longer!

The entire culinary and sommelier team were incredible but we were most impressed with Ektor who was our waiter our first night. Ektor was the most impressive waiter we have ever had with his genuine passion of explaining each dish to us, showing us different ways to enhance each meal with his different white glove - fine dining techniques but what we loved the most was his personality. He was both incredibly professional but he was also extremely kind and fun loving with the rest of his staff and had us smiling and laughing the entire time. While everyone was professional he went outside the box to show his personality and build a relationship with us who was authentic to himself. The one night he was not at Ristorante Il Porgnano it felt empty and quiet without him. I truly hope you reward his performance and give him a promotion to manager level so that the service can be brought to the next level and that he can help your staff feel encouraged to show their personalities more. My wife and I truly feel like Ektor and the culinary team are part of our family now and cannot explain how impressed with their performance. Also, Chef Alessandro was incredible and charismatic during our cooking class and Luka was fantastic during our truffle hunting experience. Please tell your entire staff thank you for having us and giving us the best part of our honey moon in Italy.

We booked a room at the hotel. We didn’t have any recommendations, but the location and rating convinced us it was worth trying. We traveled from Rome to this wonderful place. The location and views of the hotel are beyond words—simply extraordinary. The structure of the hotel looks like something out of a movie. A beautifully maintained fortress, and from the very first moment, you realize you've come to the right place From the moment of arrival, the wonderful, kind, and welcoming staff makes every guest feel special and wanted. The rooms in the main building are truly impressive.The gardening and vegetation at the place captivate the heart from the very first moment. The on-site restaurants come highly recommended, and indeed, we fell in love and didn’t go out to eat elsewhere. Just like in football, where they say you don’t change a .winning team, we didn’t want to change a winning formula In summary, anyone looking to enjoy this area—this is certainly one of the best options. This is a fantastic resort ! From the moment we arrived Gigi greeted us like family . Staff always ready to help with whatever is needed . Our room was huge . Wonderful comfy bed, huge shower and tub , coffee and all you need to feel at home . No TV, which is amazing . Full gym and gorgeous pools x 2. Breakfast buffet fabulous with great service especially by Laura and Cindy . Dinner excellent as well . Beautiful grounds to hike the property . Luxurious surroundings, top notch service and attention to detail . We wanted to relax, visit wineries, surrounding towns , and unplug . This is the place ! Veronica and Daniella kept our room spotless… Do not think twice about booking , you will not be disappointed ! Five star ⭐️

Another lovely visit. We stayed here back in 2022 and in that review noted that our two nights weren't enough and we needed more time to enjoy the place. Well we came back for four nights to a treat! We were given the Stallina room which is a beautiful little bungalow with the best kitchenette which we used to cook 2 out of our 4 dinners. I just love the smeg appliances and as someone who loves their own cooking getting local ingredients from close by towns and having a lovely meal in with the hubs was also a 5 star treat when you have all the cookware and dinnerware you could need. The bed is super comfy and the ACs a must in the hot Tuscan August sun. The hotel grounds have so much to offer in terms of activities, including many little hikes for those who live a walk. This time we also did a pasta making course with Chef Alessandro which was just fantastic (and we enjoyed the pasta for lunch later as cooked by the chef). The gardens are a wonderful dreamy spot for an apperitivo before dinner - with some of the most breathtaking views of Tuscany. The breakfast at this hotel is probably one of the best anywhere - plentiful and delicious. We did eat dinner at the Al Fresco restaurant the first night which was very good. We ate at the fine dining restaurant (Villa Pignano) the last night of our stay which I have reviewed separately. While our overall experience was lovely (and with particular thanks to the manager Gigi for being so attentive and always checking in) we did share some feedback through the hotel survey which we hope will make this an even more amazing stay in the future.
